An Overview of United States Aikido Federation
The United States Aikido Federation (USAF) is a non-profit organization (501-C3). The USAF directs not only Aikido and its instruction as built up by Hombu dojo, the global central station in Japan, but also advances Aikido through different programs. The USAF likewise promotes and directs Aikido exhibits and global classes, and distributes information and educational materials relating to Aikido.
How to Join United States Aikido Federation
If a non-USAF dojo is seeking membership, they suggest that the instructor attend USAF seminars taught by USAF Shihan, or visit a USAF dojo. This will facilitate the process by familiarizing yourself with the USAF, its members and its practices while introducing yourself and establishing a connection with members of the USAF.
Applying to the USAF begins with contacting the USAF administrative office by calling 860-567-2416 or emailing laura@usaikifed.com.
