Rose State College Overview

Once you complete this Phlebotomy Training Program, you are eligible to take the national board exam to be a Certified Phlebotomist. The program is only one semester long and currently accepts 15 students every fall and spring. There are no prerequisite science courses needed, only a Reading Accuplacer score, and Basic Life Support CPR are required before you can start the program. A CPR course (HSBC 1141) is offered here at Rose. It is a one-credit hour, financial aid eligible course offered several times each semester. The hybrid course requires some online assignments before attending one Saturday class on campus. You may also take CPR thru the American Heart Association. (The CPR offered by the Red Cross will not be accepted.)
