Eastern Florida State College Overview
Phlebotomists are medical professionals who draw blood from patients for various lab tests and procedures. This one-semester program of study prepares the student for employment as an entry-level Phlebotomist by teaching them the techniques and theory needed to successfully take and pass the national certification exam and enter the health care field.
The Phlebotomy Program is a 16-week course of study (12 weeks in summer). A 6-week minimester course with lab is taught on campus, with the remainder of the term spent completing a 100-hour supervised clinical experience.
