International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation Overview
The athletes and instructors certified by IBJJF have their belt rank recognized by an official sports organization. To be certified as a black belt by IBJJF, the athlete or instructor must complete the necessary requirements outlined on the federation’s website.
In order to be eligible to apply for the Black Belt Certificate applicants must have a valid membership as Black Belt, and cannot be considered Provisional Black Belt.
