General requirements for a physical therapist license?
• Applicant is required to demonstrate that they have successfully completed a physical
therapy program.
If applying to take the National Physical Therapy Examination (NPTE) an applicant
must:
• Successfully completed a physical therapy program to be eligible to graduate within 90 days of the program.
• Meet the Federation of State Board of Physical Therapy (FSBPT) current eligibility requirements in effect at the time of registering for the NPTE, including any exam retake or low score limit policies.
• Must graduate from a physical therapy program and pass the NPTE within 2 year immediately preceding the date of application.
