What does a Massage Therapist do?

Massage therapy is an ancient practice, the origin of which is still a matter of speculated, but evidence of massage practice has been found in ancient Egyptian ruins. It has come to mean any manipulation of the body’s soft tissue using fingers, feet, elbows, forearms, or even a device to relieve pain or stress. The National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine recognizes at least 80 forms of massage therapy. It is undoubtedly one of, if not the most, common of the alternative medical techniques employed in the United States.
