What certifications are necessary for Kung Fu Instructors?

The United States Martial Arts Association (USMAA) is a non-profit organization designed to provide instruction to members, host training camps, support coaches and students, and publish educational materials. The USMAA is a large governing body that works to spread the values of good instructors and high-quality examination, testing, and instruction standards. Still, types of certification may vary from program to program. Many Kung Fu programs use a color-coded belt system to indicate the various levels of advancement, and they commonly move from the lowest, white, up through yellow, gold, orange, green, purple, brown, red, and black.
