We cannot recommend Sam enough! She has truly transformed our dogs and our home. When we brought home our newest puppy, she was extremely nervous and unsure of the world around her. Sam worked with her patiently and intentionally, helping her build confidence and take on life skills head on. Watching her grow into the confident, brave girl she is today has been incredible! We owe so much of that to Sam’s guidance. Sam also worked with our older dog, correcting his leash reactivity and fine-tuning his training when needed. Walks are now calmer, more enjoyable, and something we can all feel confident about. Sam is knowledgeable, supportive, and truly cares about the dogs. If you’re looking for someone who delivers real results with compassion and expertise, we highly recommend Sam for all of your dog training needs.

We love Sam and her team! What started as a basic obedience class to keep my doodle from becoming an oversized goofy menace turned into a series of classes that challenged both handler and pup! It became our weekly routine that we both looked forward to and now we’re excited to finish up our therapy certification this spring! Sam has done a great job helping to train our dogs. They have gone from two scared rescue dogs to two dogs that are entering the therapy dog program!! Sam has gone above and beyond to make sure the dogs and owners are comfortable and she caters to the owners learning style. She gives very clear directives and demonstrates with the dog so the owner can learn. She works with difficulty behaviors using behavior modifications, not just the typical obedience training. We love Sam.

Samantha (Sam) the trainer has always been a calming influence on my Sugar. (mini aussie) we have trained with her since our intermediate training. She trained us through our Good Citizen Certificate as well as guiding and training us into being a Therapy dog. Her "no fear" method of training has allowed Sugar and myself to become closer as a team. We enthusiastically recommend Sam! We have a 2-year-old neutered male Olde English Bulldogge who embodies the breed’s characteristic stubbornness. Sam’s compassionate, fear-free training methods unlocked his full potential, transforming his behavior in ways we never imagined. While our training sessions have officially ended, we continue to visit Sam because not only did she make a lasting impact on us, but our dog absolutely adores her. Sam’s expertise and genuine care make her truly exceptional!

Sam is the best, she is patient and all dogs seem to love her. She teaches without being intimidating and gives you the tools for a happy, well behaved dog!

I wish I had my dog Bella trained sooner -Sam is an excellent dog trainer and I had noticed an improvement in behavior even shortly after the first visit! My dog Bella is a 10 year old miniature poodle and I had concerns if it would be possible to train an older dog with bad habits. Prior to dog training my miniature poodle Bella was highly reactive inside the house -barking at the floorboards creaking if someone would walk upstairs, or if she heard a door open, a garbage truck driving by/breaks squeaking. Barking would ensue for 10+ minutes without calming down. Dinnertime was Bella eating her food and begging/whining relentlessly. With a toddler in the house -Bella would be up on her back paws or jumping up on my toddler stealing cheese. Screaming toddler ensues. Outside the house Bella would bark at other people or dogs as they walked closer and Pulling with all her might to walk faster. Now: Bella is much calmer around the house and if we hear a garbage truck -I can redirect her or call her or have her lay on her place and be calm within seconds to minute. This has been huge especially if toddler is taking a nap. I can tell Bella to "leave it" and my toddler can eat her cheese in peace and I don't have to hear screaming as well. Dinnertime is peaceful! I can use the command "Place" and Bella will go lay down on her bed and I can toss over a treat. this is a massive improvement from the whining and jumping up and scratching at the cabinet drawer that has her food. Outside the house on walks -Bella will walk on my left side and doesn't pull/drag me on walks anymore! Additionally she is much less reactive to other dogs and people walking by. I highly recommend Sam and Trusted Tails!

Amazing! I was worried about training our new puppy but all my worries have been lifted by Sam!
