Update #2: the dogs shared a dog today after 2wks of daily practice to not fight over toys as there is enough for everyone. Communication with Alex was fast and easy. I was able to express what I needed and book an appointment within a week. Alex has a great attitude, patience and well spoken. The training sheets given to me are a great reminder of what we need to work on. Turns out I spoil my dog and give too many treats for her just looking cute and being a dog. So these classes are really for me more than the dog. In the end we will both be good doggies. Thank you Alex Edit; Bailey has a sibling Bonnie living with us, so I reached out to Alex for help with behavioral issues. Alex showed us the importance of teaching boundaries between a puppy and a 3yr old. Thank you Alex for you help and reminding me that the dogs do not get treat for looking cute. Not sure how your not supposed to give treat when you look at this cuteness but I will work on it.

Alex is amazing! He has a natural rapport with dogs, knows what he's doing and is a super nice guy! Callie and I wanted to say a big thank-you to Alex for helping us. It was a relief to know that my new rescue girl is not aggressive but anxious and excitable! Alex showed me ways to build our relationship and how to best help Callie in learning basic obedience. We initially purchased 3 sessions and planned to do more but I'm a RN and COVID19 intervened. That being said, I continued to consistently work on the exercises Alex taught us and we're doing wonderfully! We're able to go on walks with other dogs now. I'm much more confident in how to help Callie meet new dogs. She's able to sit and wait in public (while other dogs are acting crazy around her)! I am so grateful someone recommended the Dog Sensi to us! We adopted a 2 year old mixed breed from the humane society and discovered he had many problem behaviors shortly after brining him home. We almost made the difficult decision to return the dog because we were so concerned and could not figure out what to do. Luckily, Alex was willing to work with us! Great experience with dog sensai! We hired him because we were lost on what to do with our dog issues. Alex listened to our concerns without making us feel bad or judging what we had been doing up to this point. Even our dog loved him lol. We have seen a lot of progress with our dog after the 6 weeks and im excited to see more improvement while we keep using the techniques he tought us. Alex is a life saver!!! We have a 3 month old labordoodle named Bernie. Bernie loved Alex right away. We did the puppy training classes which helped us learn how to better handle Bernie. While we thought we knew it all, we didn't even come close. Alex was able to get Bernie's attention right away and help teach us how to handle Bernie when he is jumping, biting and well being a puppy. We would be lost without Alex! After the first class, we noticed a HUGE difference in Bernie. He helped us get our life back!

This man is a true professional in his craft. His approach is positive and comprehensive. I originally came to Alex with a large dog that had reactivity issues. My dog had her hackles up, barked and nipped at every stranger she met and I was worried it would develop into worse behaviors later on. On his first visit we introduced him to our dog and, as soon as she saw him, she began barking at him with her hackles up. Alex recognized that she had confidence issues and gave us the right tools to work with her and get her on track and by the end of the first visit she was no longer interested in him being in our home. By the end of the second visit it was clear she had bonded with him. She was excited for him to be there and was even listening to his commands. It is clear that he was very knowledgeable and his approach not only works but is effective. Thank you for everything you have done.

Alex was amazing! Our over excited, fluffy and large puppy is cute but needs some good guidance and we didn't know where to turn. After reading a few reviews here we contacted Alex and he responded right away. And we are so grateful! Alex knows dogs, he is professional and calm and positive. He helped our whole family with sound, valuable, and encouraging guidance and directions. We feel much better about teaching and training our puppy after our classes with him. The only negative is that our three classes were over so soon and we felt like we had to say good bye to a friend - but he knows he's invited back anytime for a visit! This beautiful three year old rescue, weighing in at 110 pounds, is the sweetest boy almost ever except... when he's not! Alex - The Dog Sensei - helped turn around this willful maniac - Kaz - by teaching Kaz' family to take better charge of him, to help the whole family iron out the household pecking order. We had puppy training classes with Alex. He is professional, kind and genuine. Our dog is well-behaved thanks to his classes and we learned so many other techniques and gained a lot of advice from Alex. We couldn't recommend a better dog trainer!

We have had three obedience training sessions with Alex, The Dog Sensei. He taught our year old dog, Vinny, cues such as sit, stay, focus, wait, and heel. More importantly, Alex has “trained” my husband and me to be positive and consistent! (We’re still a work-in-progress, though!) Our sessions have been so much fun and included games to play with Vinny to make practicing fun for all of us. Alex’s obvious love of dogs, expertise in obedience training, positive attitude, and sense of humor combine to make him an excellent trainer and a pleasure to work with.

Alex is passionate and professional about dog training. He really knows his stuff and does a really great job teaching good habits for long term dog training tools. Alex is amazing! We brought him in to work with our rescue dog, who was most likely abused. Alex was calm, knowledgeable, enjoyable to be around and worked so well with Auggie. We had 3 beginner obedience classes with Alex last year and recently had a follow up training two weeks ago. He is amazing! So caring and informed with our dog! We can’t recommend The Dog Sensei enough!! We’ve worked with three different dog trainers and this was by far our best experience. Alex is extremely knowledgeable, patient and positive. He gave us tangible tips and showed us exactly how to execute training exercises, while sharing how and why each exercise works. Our dachshund, Milo, is a bit reactive and very stubborn. Thanks to The Dog Sensei we’ve already started to restructure our relationship, which shows in his changing behavior. While we still have some work to do, we feel confident in understanding exactly what to continue working on. We love The Dog Sensei and highly recommend to all dog owners!!

Our dog is a handful. She is a 130lb Cane Corso and my families first large breed dog. We started with Alex as soon as we recognized we needed to add some tools to the chest if our dog were to have the best life possible. Alex was AMAZING and gave us skills and a foundation that has lasted for years! Alex really “got us” and our family and adapted our training to match our lifestyle. Our dog is spoiled…. but she earns it. We start with small incremental successes, encourage, then build from there. Today she is fully integrated in our lives and we owe it in large part to Alex’s wisdom and experience. He trained us as much as our dog and I have found it priceless.

Alex is the best! Our dog Mia absolutely LOVES him! Patient, and gentle with the pooches, your dog will have a great time, all while learning to be well behaved and obedient. Mia has such a great time with “uncle” Alex, not only does her tail wag when she sees him, but her whole body wags! A bonus is the texts and pics you receive keeping you updated, so you’ll never hesitate entrusting your four legged family member with him. Highly recommended!

He was very professional, on time and very knowledgeable about every question we asked. We saw improvement after the first visit for sure! Alex does a fantastic job. The in home lessons helped us quickly with our challenging dachshund Maddie. He provides simple instructions to help “train” Maddie’s owners to communicate better with her so she understood expectations and we were consistent so we didn’t confuse her. Our house is much more calm since Alex started working with us. He is truly the Dog Sensi.

I contacted Alex to teach my husband and I how to loose leash train our 4 month old Wire Fox Terrier, Pippi. Pippi took to Alex immediately. He is a very nice guy and was so kind and gentle with Pippi. We got many tips from Alex, including how to calm down the puppy, how to divert unwanted behaviour, as well as socialization tips. The dog Sensei was amazing with our pup Barkley! He has a calm manner that dogs love, he’s also very professional and punctual. He taught us everything we needed to know to raise and train our Australian Shepherd. Barkley had so much fun during the training. The lessons we had really helped us learn what we need to do and things that will stick throughout our dogs years to come. Barkley is a super sit dog! I will be using the dog sensei again in the future if I have any other pups, and recommend him to everyone!

5 out 5, 10 out of 10 - RECOMMEND! Alex exceeded our expectations and was an utter delight and talent. Our little guy is 4.5years old and quite spoiled. After the first session, we immediately knew Alex was the one that would get our little man (AND US, to be honest) on track. Sure enough, he was able to. We had to put the training on hold for a bit, but we are looking forward to continuing it here soon. I have family members who rave about him and friends who look forward to booking his services soon.

Alex took our anxious dog and after some training sessions she's more calm and a much happier dog with happier owners. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful experience with The Dog Sensei. We quickly joked that we, the humans, were in training rather than the puppy. The Dog Sensei kindly redirected the things we could be doing better with our puppy and taught us new skills to raise and train a happy, healthy, family dog. It has been a month since our three sessions ended and we have followed all the directions and have a very well behaved puppy.

The Dog Sensei was so helpful and convenient. We scheduled everything via text and he came to our house to help with basic obedience training for our two dogs. We practiced multiple activities at each session to help the dogs (and us) form better habits. By the end of the training series they both seem to listen and focus more. It was really nice watching our youngest dog gradually gain more confidence from the training.

I thought I had watched all the training videos I could find to fix my puppy's bad habits but nothing seemed to work. After a one-on-one with Alex I felt like I learned so much! He taught me training tips for my puppy's particular breed/personality and I already see progress with training. Can't wait to keep working with him!

Alex, uses training methods that won’t scare or punish your dog, rather he uses methods that will help your dog truly want to listen to you. Our dog training sessions were always positive and we learned a LOT about how to give our dog the best training for her happiness and ours. We enjoyed learning from Alex and he always had an answer for all of our questions.

Alex is amazing! We brought him in to work with our rescue dog, who was most likely abused. Alex was calm, knowledgeable, enjoyable to be around and worked so well with Auggie. He was able to calmly teach and train Auggie, who typically flips out around strangers, especially men. We were pretty desperate for some help and Alex was exactly what we needed. I feel confident now that we can use the tools he taught us to calm auggie and make him happier, which in turn will make the whole family happier. :) Thank you Alex!

We had 3 beginner obedience classes with Alex last year and recently had a follow up training two weeks ago. He is amazing! So caring and informed with our dog! We can’t recommend The Dog Sensei enough!! We’ve worked with three different dog trainers and this was by far our best experience. Alex is extremely knowledgeable, patient and positive. He gave us tangible tips and showed us exactly how to execute training exercises, while sharing how and why each exercise works. Our dachshund, Milo, is a bit reactive and very stubborn. Thanks to The Dog Sensei we’ve already started to restructure our relationship, which shows in his changing behavior. While we still have some work to do, we feel confident in understanding exactly what to continue working on. We love The Dog Sensei and highly recommend to all dog owners!!

Alex is extremely knowledgeable and not only helped us as new dog parents understand our puppy’s behavior but he also showed us techniques to implement immediately to aid in correcting naughty behavior. Our dog is a handful. She is a 130lb Cane Corso and my families first large breed dog. We started with Alex as soon as we recognized we needed to add some tools to the chest if our dog were to have the best life possible. Alex was AMAZING and gave us skills and a foundation that has lasted for years! Alex really “got us” and our family and adapted our training to match our lifestyle. Our dog is spoiled…. but she earns it. We start with small incremental successes, encourage, then build from there. Today she is fully integrated in our lives and we owe it in large part to Alex’s wisdom and experience. He trained us as much as our dog and I have found it priceless.

Alex is the best! Our dog Mia absolutely LOVES him! Patient, and gentle with the pooches, your dog will have a great time, all while learning to be well behaved and obedient. Mia has such a great time with “uncle” Alex, not only does her tail wag when she sees him, but her whole body wags! A bonus is the texts and pics you receive keeping you updated, so you’ll never hesitate entrusting your four legged family member with him. Highly recommended!

He was very professional, on time and very knowledgeable about every question we asked. We saw improvement after the first visit for sure! We will probably be doing follow up training with him in the near future and I've already recommended him to others. He was so friendly and didn't make us feel bad when doing something wrong and we did alot of that :( We are very grateful that we found him.

Alex does a fantastic job. The in home lessons helped us quickly with our challenging dachshund Maddie. He provides simple instructions to help “train” Maddie’s owners to communicate better with her so she understood expectations and we were consistent so we didn’t confuse her. Our house is much more calm since Alex started working with us. He is truly the Dog Sensi.

Alex is great, we highly recommend him to anyone looking for help with their pooch. Alex is very knowledgeable and clearly loves what he does, he was very sweet with our new little pup. Alex worked with us on training techniques that were easy to follow and effective. The in home “one on one” service was perfect for us and at a reasonable rate. Alex is amazing with dogs. Our dog got so excited everytime he arrived. The tools he uses really work, and it really helped training in our own environment. Very reasonably priced, is there such thing as a six star rating lol.

Alex aka The Dog Sensei is amazing! He just taught me how to train my 3 month old puppy. He takes the time to learn about the pup and figure out what’s the best plan moving forward. He gave me great resources that I will continue using to help my pup be the best pup he can be!

I contacted Alex to teach my husband and I how to loose leash train our 4 month old Wire Fox Terrier, Pippi. Pippi took to Alex immediately. He is a very nice guy and was so kind and gentle with Pippi. We got many tips from Alex, including how to calm down the puppy, how to divert unwanted behaviour, as well as socialization tips. Alex is very personable, professional, was on time for our appointment and has very fair pricing. We would not hesitate to contact him again for any training needs. The dog Sensei was amazing with our pup Barkley! He has a calm manner that dogs love, he’s also very professional and punctual. He taught us everything we needed to know to raise and train our Australian Shepherd. Barkley had so much fun during the training. The lessons we had really helped us learn what we need to do and things that will stick throughout our dogs years to come. Barkley is a super sit dog! I will be using the dog sensei again in the future if I have any other pups, and recommend him to everyone!

5 out 5, 10 out of 10 - RECOMMEND! Alex exceeded our expectations and was an utter delight and talent. Our little guy is 4.5years old and quite spoiled. After the first session, we immediately knew Alex was the one that would get our little man (AND US, to be honest) on track. Sure enough, he was able to. We had to put the training on hold for a bit, but we are looking forward to continuing it here soon. I have family members who rave about him and friends who look forward to booking his services soon.

Alex took our anxious dog and after some training sessions she's more calm and a much happier dog with happier owners. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful experience with The Dog Sensei. We quickly joked that we, the humans, were in training rather than the puppy. The Dog Sensei kindly redirected the things we could be doing better with our puppy and taught us new skills to raise and train a happy, healthy, family dog. It has been a month since our three sessions ended and we have followed all the directions and have a very well behaved puppy.

The Dog Sensei was so helpful and convenient. We scheduled everything via text and he came to our house to help with basic obedience training for our two dogs. We practiced multiple activities at each session to help the dogs (and us) form better habits. By the end of the training series they both seem to listen and focus more. It was really nice watching our youngest dog gradually gain more confidence from the training.

I thought I had watched all the training videos I could find to fix my puppy's bad habits but nothing seemed to work. After a one-on-one with Alex I felt like I learned so much! He taught me training tips for my puppy's particular breed/personality and I already see progress with training. Can't wait to keep working with him!
