Our new puppy, Midge, completed a 2 week training course with Marissa before coming home to our family. We have not had a puppy for over 10 years and Marissa set us up for success. Midge is already crate trained and very well behaved. Marissa sent her home with a detailed schedule and lots of tips! We would have been very overwhelmed without her help. We look forward to sending her back to Tail Swaggers for boarding and additional training as she gets older!

Marissa was wonderful with our unruly bernedoodle puppy! He just got home and he has learned so much! We are so grateful. Our favorite part was being able to follow along with all the videos and updates she would post!! Made it easier since he was gone for 3 weeks! Planning to send our older doodle next!

I was first referred to Tailswaggers when my German Shepherd, Mo was in a wheel chair and I had to travel a lot for work. Marissa was so caring and loving for him when I was gone, I wouldn’t trust anyone else to take care of him. After Mo passed I was given a 2 year old GSD. We did the board and train with him. He now travels with me for work and we are constantly complimented on how well mannered and trained he is. I would definitely recommend anyone take their dog for training, boarding and day care!

I could not recommend Marissa enough. She trained my very anxious dog how to relax and calm himself down at home and gave him the confidence to go for walks in the neighborhood and in public. I was very anxious to be away from my fur baby but Marissa kept in contact and sent daily updates. She is not only knowledgeable but so compassionate and really takes the time to understand your dogs needs.

This review is 5 years over due! I have used Tail Swaggers to board my pup for EVERY family vacation, work travel, and any other occasion I may need since 2019 and I will NEVER board anywhere else. I trust the owner, Marissa, with my dog’s life! She ensures a safe and structured environment for her daycare visitors and boarding residents to where there is never a doubt about the well-being and happiness of my dog. Thanks to Tail Swaggers, my dog has become the best version of himself! The trust and admiration I have for this company cannot be summed up in a small review, it needs to be experienced! So please, do yourself a favor; don’t stress about that new dog sitter or overcrowded day care center and book with Tail Swaggers!!!

Marissa is absolutely wonderful! Our Golden Retriever came back to us with a great set of manners and direction. Marissa’s knowledge is priceless! Our dog adores her and so does our family. We will continue to use her for reinforcement as our puppy grows. She also uses social media with daily updates with your dog. I loved being a part of his learning journey!

Marissa has been so helpful with our dog’s reactivity and anxiety since we moved and had a baby. She focused on specific issues we’ve been having and had a customized training plan during his board and train. She sent updates daily and has checked in with us since he came home to address any questions or concerns. I highly recommend Marissa!

Training a dog like ours is a big challenge which is why I was skeptical on how he would perform at Tail Swaggers. Marissa did an incredible job. The amount of time she was able to to teach our dog in the short amount of time he was gone is amazing. Night and day difference. If you have a hard time getting your dog to listen, this is the place to take him. Would recommend to everyone!

I had searched and researched trainers. Even used one that didn’t work. Marissa could tell from the issues we had and by meeting Jack what kind of training he needed. We did the 3 week training which turned out to be 4 because of the ice storm. Marissa took it in stride and just kept working with him. She did work wonders with Jack. She has so much patience with Jack and with me. At times I am the one who panics. She never hesitates to answer a text if I am having a problem. I was concerned about the price and avoided doing a board and train because of the price. Now that I have done it I am so happy I did. She can work miracles! Especially with an anxious , hard headed Jack. Give her a try. You won’t regret it

Worth every penny! I never write reviews, but this one is well earned. I am amazed at his transformation. Tiger jumped on everyone, did not listen, chewed on everything and so much more. I cannot believe his transformation! Marrissa does an incredible job training both pet and owner. We are so grateful to be able to enjoy our precious pooch’.

Marissa is amazing! Our pup Riley participated in Tail Swagger’s 3 week board and train program. Riley is 8 years old and a super loving but anxious and highly reactive dog. For the longest time, we just thought she was too old to be trained. Marissa proved you can teach an old dog new tricks! She sent us updates, videos, tips and training recommendations every single day. We felt so at ease knowing Riley was in good hands. Happy to report that Riley is back home and better than ever. We feel equipped with the tools, knowledge, and confidence needed to be great owners. I can’t recommend Marissa and Tail Swaggers enough!!

My wife and I couldn’t be more pleased with the Tailswaggers experience. Marissa continually kept us up to date with how our puppy was progressing and the end result was more than we could have hoped more. Our puppy is now much more well behaved and obedient compared to when we first dropped him off. We would recommend Tailswaggers to any dog owner that is looking for a board and train program.

Our normal boarding place was full and they recommended Marissa who thankfully had an opening! We have put in the work with training with our dog, and I am not comfortable with having her just anywhere. Marissa took great care of her and sent us daily pictures and updates while we were away. Daisy was happy at pickup and I would definitely use her again. Love the in home boarding option!

Marissa did an incredible job training my dog Karma on obedience. She took the time to understand Karma’s personality, worked with patience and consistency, and the results are amazing. I’m beyond grateful for her dedication! I highly recommend Marissa to anyone looking for real results!

It’s a friendly, safe, and accommodating place for your four legged family member. Unlike other boardings, you get daily updates and pictures. Our dog was able to learn while still having tons of fun. Great place for daycare or boarding options. We did not feel bad leaving Molly in Marissa’s care while we were in vacation, knowing she too was in a vacation ;)

We got a German Shepard puppy & shortly after we found out we were expecting a baby. Certain activities like going for a walk became impossible by the time she was 6 months old not being able to control her in a leash due to being pregnant & having a strong dog. Marissa SAVED us at just the right time. After 3 weeks of board & train our dog came back with all the tools for us to learn how to handle all situations. I can easily walk her on a leash, recall her in our yard, put her in a place & grab packages without having to worry she will run out the front door. Marissa is super professional & passionate - I was totally blow away. If you’re considering a board & train - I would 10/10 recommend! She taught me so much about how to correct my dog & it really clicked. Watching the dog whispering on TLC isn’t going to help you in real life. Hire a pro like Marissa!

I was updated throughout the entire process—not just about my dog's progress and well-being, but also with helpful tips for me as her owner. My dog came in as a nervous pup who struggled to understand commands, often doing tricks without direction. By the end of her training, she left with a more confident posture and a clear understanding of what I expect from her. We still have a long journey ahead, but the foundation is set, and I'm excited to continue applying the training. Tail Swagger has made both my dog and me better, and I highly recommend this training for anyone looking to lead their dog with confidence. Be sure to follow their page for useful tips and tricks!

Where do I even begin!?!? We aren’t even fully through our first month with Tail Swaggers but I HAD to write a review because the difference we’ve seen in our pup in only a few weeks is so great. We brought our very high energy 19wk old Cavapoo puppy to Tail Swaggers because we tried training her on our own but quickly got overwhelmed. We met with 3 different training facilities and Tail Swaggers stood out immediately for me. From the beginning Marissa has been so welcoming, personable, patient and so informative. I’m extremely indecisive and was stuck on if we wanted to just send her to boarding, have someone come to us or do the daycare dynamic. Marissa took the time to talk to me for a good 45min about my concerns and what we were looking for; she wasn’t pushy, was very understanding and gave me all the information we needed to make the decision and I can say, with 100% certainty, we made the right choice. Marissa has created such a safe, fun, structured environment PLUS our girl is so excited everyday to go to daycare which is beyond comforting for us. We get daily pupdates while she’s at daycare and a great breakdown of what she worked on that day when we pick her up. If you have ANY question at all if a structured daycare is for you, let me tell you, Tail Swaggers IS! I recommend Tail Swaggers to anyone I come across that has a dog lol whether they are looking for boarding for the upcoming holidays or a daily daycare. I could say so many more amazing things about Tail Swaggers but I am forever thankful we found Marissa and that she has created such a safe space for dogs and gives us the best peace of mind while our fur baby is with her. 🥰💖💖

Marissa is incredibly attentive! Every other boarding experience we’ve ever had for our dog, we’ve had to gently text every few days to make sure that our dog was doing okay. Marissa is the total opposite - she proactively provided updates multiple times a day, gave our dog consistent exercise and attention, and made us feel confident that our dog was in good hands. We’re so grateful to have found Marissa and would highly, HIGHLY recommend her to any dog owner!

Marisa was a wonderful trainer. Our Bella came home so much better than before. She is very receptive to our commands and directions.. Marisa allowed me to feel very comfortable leaving my little girl in her care. She kept me very well informed as to her progress and we even received photos while we missed her terribly. Marisa did a fantastic job.

Marissa has a true gift with animals. She has been an absolute god-send for our dog. He has learned such important foundational skills through the structured daycare and the bonus of knowing he is safe and cared for when we board with Marissa is unmeasurable. The Fort Worth dog community is so lucky to have Tails Swaggers. Cannot recommend Marissa and her business enough!

We have seen a drastic change on our Great Dane he actually listens to commands and so calm we can take him out and not worry about not being able to enjoy our outing. We received updates everyday on Dudley’s progress. You can tell they take pride in helping us train our dogs and love them just as much as we do! Thank you Tail Swaggers for everything!

Awesome dog boarding experience! The perfect balance of training and fun for our dog. She sent several updates each day, which gave us great peace of mind during our trip. She taught him door and walking manners as well as how to walk on a treadmill! We definitely noticed a difference when we brought him home! He also got to enjoy some playtime with other boarders, which is our pup's favorite thing to do! HIGHLY recommend boarding with Marissa - well worth the investment :)

This post is beyond overdue, where do I even start?? Marissa has been the second mom to my dogs for 6+ years! I cannot recommend her enough, if you are on the fence, stop reading the reviews and book her while you can! She’s loved on and raised my crazy beagle puppy and cared for my sweet, very old rescue through the end. Thank you Marissa for all you’ve done for my kiddos over the years!

I’m one of those owners who don’t trust just anyone to take care of my fur babies. Marissa took the time to get to know my pups individual mannerisms and needs. She updated me daily and they came home happy, healthy and exercised!

Marissa always took great care of our 3 Bulldogs. They loved their walks with her and we loved knowing they were taken care of. One was huge and quite stubborn and she handled him beautifully making sure he still went out to do his business, while still fitting a walk in with the "more spry" other two. Often she took care of them for the weekend when we were out of town handling feedings and giving medicine as well. We no longer live in the area, but wish we could find someone like Marissa here. We highly recommend her!

Marissa is amazing! I started my eight month old puppy with her about a month ago and he has learned so much, gets great exposure to other dogs, and most importantly learns how to be comfortable being calm. Marissa is incredibly kind and provides numerous updates while my dog is in her care both during day care and during overnight boarding. The personalized and high attention to detail training that the dogs get in her care is unbeatable!

Marissa gave me great confidence and comfort in leaving my pup with her. He’s not only got trained, but also got to enjoy being part of the family while I was away. I would highly recommend if you’re looking for somewhere to board or train that you want to know your dog will be treated like a family member.

Tail Swaggers was nothing short of incredible. I think Marissa could tell I was a nervous dog mom and updated me throughout the entire weekend. My worries very quickly vanished when I realized that not only was my dog participating in doggy daycare with the other dogs, but she was being loved on after all of the dogs left. I will absolutely be going to Tail Swaggers again and I highly recommend them to anyone needing walks, doggy daycare, or overnight boarding. Thank you Marissa!

Took my puppy Gnocchi for the puppy board and train program. Could not be more pleased with the program - Marissa's communication, structure and level of care. Being able to see sessions and activities they were doing throughout the 3 week program via instagram was just pure bliss. Knowing Gnocchi was so young i was a little worried how receptive he would be to training, but boy was i wrong. He is doing perfectly at home and i cannot wait to continue bringing him every so often for refreshers. WELL WORTH IT 10/10 DO RECOMMEND

We have had three girls & Tail Swaggers is undoubtedly the best. We have lost our 2 oldest & are down to one. She has boarded with Tail Swaggers & loved it! Before that Marissa would come to the house & let our 3 girls out & play with them. She keeps you updated & sends videos & pictures. You can absolutely trust your babies with Tail Swagers!

Tail Swaggers was recommended to me by a coworker when I was in desperate need of care for my big baby Storm. Not only did Tail Swaggers accommodate me at the very last minute, but they also took care of me and my baby during a pretty rough moment for me. The owner Marissa, treated Storm and I like family! She made sure that Storm was beyond happy and comfortable, and she went above and beyond giving me plenty of updates and pictures letting me know how Storm was doing and what her days had been like. I would recommend Tail Swaggers to any and everyone who needs care for their beloved pet, and especially to someone who knows that their pet is truly a part of their family and wants to ensure that they are treated well. Tail Swaggers are the only pet sitter I trust! Before COVID, I traveled pretty regularly both for work and pleasure and always knew my 3 dogs would be in capable and reliable hands with Marissa! Always get great pics to tide me over until I can be with my fur babies again. Would recommend without any hesitation.

Tail Swaggers is absolutely amazing! Truly has been such a blessing for this new pup momma. Marissa treats Rosie like her own and sends me updates throughout the day. I love seeing photos of her living her best life! Rosie is so happy at daycare and smiles all day long! I have people compliment me on how well trained Rosie is already at 4 months and I tell everyone it’s all because of Marissa!

We are SO HAPPY that we found TailSwaggers!!!! Marissa truly LOVES the dogs and you can tell that she's passionate about her work. She really treats every dog as if it's her own. Also, love that we get pupdates all day (pictures AND videos!!) so we can see how much fun he's having! We have a puppy, so we are even more thankful that he's been able to socialize with other dogs! Where to start?! Tail Swaggers offers a top notch, luxury service personalized to each dog in their care. We rescued our Nina 5 years ago and she still sometimes has some trust issues with strangers, which is understandable. Tail Swaggers took the time to get to know our Nina and earn her trust months before she first boarded with them. Now Nina is part of the Tail Swaggers Family and loves every second in their care. When we dropped off our 8-month-old Golden Retriever, Chester, for the 5-week board-and-train program, we were deep in the thick of leash struggles, chewing, and jumping. We wanted Chester to be an active part of family life: comfortable on walks, great with our kids, and able to just be outside with us. From the first update Marissa sent, it was hard to believe it was the same dog. She immediately got to work teaching Chester boundaries and how to have an "off-switch," and her communication throughout was consistent and clear, which made the five weeks apart so much easier. She explained her training approach in a way that made sense, and sent us home with the tools we needed to keep it going. Chester has now been home for a week and is a completely different dog in all the best ways, still our silly, goofy boy, but one I can walk alongside my two toddlers and other golden retriever without a second thought. I cannot recommend Tail Swaggers enough!

This was an absolutely amazing experience. Tail swaggers stayed connected with us and made missing Frankie that much easier. Marisa face Frankie a new leaf on life literally. Tail swaggers is a part of our family now and always. Thank you so very much!

Marissa did a phenomenal job with our Great Pyrenees mix, Beck. He’s always been a very sweet, loving dog. He’s very gentle, especially around kids, and loves people in general. Before training, Beck struggled with severe anxiety, especially with the car and being alone. He wouldn’t get near the car much less in it and would whine and bark when everyone simply went upstairs, leaving him by himself. Marissa really understood Beck’s emotions and helped him learn how to work through and calm himself. She then taught us how to recognize and communicate with him better. Now he’ll easily get in the car and lay down. He’s still a little anxious on the drive but we know it’ll only get better over time. Walks are much easier now that he stays focused and we aren’t constantly stopping for every distraction. In general though, we’ve seen a more relaxed happy puppy! It was a long 3 weeks without Beck, but Marissa laid the foundation for us and Beck to have a much more fulfilling life together and I know she gave him as much love as I would have during that time. 😊
