Life changing! No more stress with shaving. Definitely recommend. Skylar made what would be an uncomfortable decision be something I actually enjoy. She’s very educated and knows her stuff. I appreciate her compassion for skin and taking her time explaining everything as she goes along.

Oh how to explain how fortunate I feel to have found Skylar. After years of getting Brazilians and not understanding why my skin was suddenly not agreeing with it anymore, I complained to a friend and she said oh, girl, you need to go see Skylar. From the instant I met Skylar, I knew I was in good hands. Not only has Skylar worked with me on figuring out my new wax reactions from a professional standpoint, she is a just a delight to be around. Getting a Brazilian can be awkward enough so the fact that Skylar has built a salon that offers women a private, warm welcoming environment that makes you feel at home and beautiful instead of on edge and subject to torturous beauty techniques, is such a relief. Her salons energy paired with her skills makes for a truly relaxing experience. She takes her time at each appointment and explains what she’s doing while she’s doing it. Shes got the gentlest touch of anyone I know. I’ve never had my brows done and felt nothing. I now get sugared and my skins reaction is almost completely resolved and it’s wayyy less painful than waxing. You can see the results of how hard Skylar has worked and honed her skills in everything Skylar does and offers. Proud to support a woman small business owner who is just out there being the best version of herself she can be. I’d recommend Skylar to anyone looking for an esthetician they can trust and enjoy being around!

Skylar is the BEST at what she does. My daughter was having problems with acne. The flair ups were cystic and it was getting worse by the month. Skylar literally swooped in and immediately knew what to do. 5 months later her skin is clear and she has completely restored her confidence. Skylar is also very good at explaining the science behind the products so you know exactly what you need. I highly recommend her. Today I went into Skin By Skylar uneasy and with flawed skin. I left 2 hours later in a state of bliss. The whole experience from the customized skin treatment to the nano channeling and the HydroJelly Mask and everything in between . Simply astonishing, not to mention the tranquil atmosphere that will have you not wanting to leave . My skin is GLOWING!! I will be back and recommending all of my friends .

Skylar helped to bring my vision of natural wedding makeup to life! As someone who doesn't often wear makeup, I knew that when searching for a MUA I wanted someone who looked to enhance natural beauty but still make me look and feel camera ready. Skylar exceeded my expectations and ensured that no matter the weather (midcoast Maine is extremely unpredicatble) my makeup would last and compliment my existing features. She did both my rehearsal dinner and day of wedding makeup and I could not recommend her enough!
