For puppies 8 to 16 weeks old. Learn everything there is to know about raising a confident puppy, from interacting with the world around them to grooming desensitization and everything in between. Over the four-week class, we will: • Discuss how to set up and manage your household to minimize problem behaviors before they arise • Explain how to properly socialize your puppy with other dogs and humans • Teach you how to get your puppy to be comfortable with new sounds, different surfaces, and unfamiliar environments • Show you how to prepare your puppy for vet appointments, nail trims, and grooming • Teach you the Learning Theory and how you can build a strong foundational relationship with your puppy through training • Introduce a clicker and how to use it effectively • Shape the basic behaviors for: Sit, Down, Spot, and Come No refunds. Make up sessions can be scheduled for an additional cost of $30 for the private session Monday - Friday except Wednesday from 10-3:00 pm.

Expand on the basics by beginning to use intermittent rewards, extending duration on behaviors, and develop a deeper working relationship with your dog. In this four-week class, we will: • Introduce training sequences with intermittent reinforcement • Teach your dog to work with you without visible food • Begin working under increasing levels of distraction • Introduce motion exercises in close proximity to other dogs • Improve your dog’s impulse control • Generalize obedience by introducing different training scenarios • Proof the behaviors Sit, Down, Spot, and Come • Improve leash walking skills No refunds.
