During our 6 week Puppy Preschool course, we will be working positively within your dog’s critical learning period to create healthy social experiences and give you the tools for future training. We cover many useful subjects such as potty training, puppy biting, and provide you and your pup with tools to ease stress and make vet visits easier. We will help your puppy build confidence through basic training skills, socialization, and problem solving. The second half of each class will be for exploring the environment as well as puppy playtime. Puppies may come on flat collars, martingale collars, gentle leaders, or harnesses and should be on a 6’ nylon standard leash. We will not use shock, pinch, or choke collars. Please bring your puppies favorite food motivator. *** Puppies must be current on all of their puppy vaccinations through the class, and provide a negative fecal prior to the first class. We will not be using chain/choke, prong collars nor extension leashes. Our six session Puppy Primary course is the next step into learning our basic training. We work on Sit/Down/Stand as well as building a stay into our Sit and Down cues. Additionally we will work on loose leash walking, recall, drop it, leave it, “place”, address problem behaviors and more. This class is designed for dogs 4.5 months (18 weeks) or older. There will be no playtime between the dogs in class, though we do start with a visual barrier between the dogs and work up to being in the room together throughout the weeks as to ease them into exposure. *** All dogs attending must be current on all of their vaccinations through the class, and provide a negative fecal prior to the first class.
