I needed a trainer soon after adopting my second dog for some anxiety and mild behavioral issues. I was recommended to Serenity from a volunteer at the Humane Society. Angela was so good about predicting behaviors in my pup and how to work with him to curtail "bad" behaviors. Consistency, love, and positive reinforcements are stressed and they work! I was a little hesitant to try additional muzzle training, but my pup took to it and it has alleviated a lot of stress. Always available to answer questions between sessions. A+

I can't tell you enough how great it is working with Angela from Serenity Dog Training. I 100% wish I knew her before our family EVER got any of our dogs, past and present! When I started working with her I quickly realized how helpful a one on one trainer is in dog ownership. I now firmly believe everybody should have a trainer to be able to work with, ask questions, bounce ideas off and troubleshoot with even if it's for a short time period. Books help but they don't talk to you and give you further ideas. I decided I needed a dog trainer because our German Shepherd likes to guard our yard way too much and felt I needed to enlist Angela's help. Because of where I live, I don't have a lot of options for dog trainers and and found Serenity Dog Training who offers a virtual option.. I wasn't sure how a virtual option would work, but it has been amazing.!! And it's so convenient because you can train with your dog from anywhere. Angela's approach to training is a gentle method with a reward system. She is caring, loves all dogs, non-judgmental and totally understanding to your case! I love how she works with me and my dog Zodiak and gives us so many tips, resources and is easy to work with. We have gained so many strides over the spring and summer. One of them being muzzle training. My dog doesn't like to go to the vet either because he gets scared so she recommended we start to muzzle train him . Her techniques have been very helpful for in this area because my dog doesn't like anything by his face. I know I couldn't have figured out how to do without her help. Serenity Dog Training is also very reasonable offering package pricing and is flexible with scheduling, I would HIGHLY recommend her to anybody for any kind of situation that your having, whether you're just getting your first new puppy or you're having behavioral Issues with your dog, you need to enlist a trusted professional that can help train to you to train your dog!

I first contacted Angela because my GSD (Sid) was exhibiting a new behavior on walks. He was becoming more worked up when he saw people or other dogs. He was transitioning to a young adult and this was a new behavior. I enrolled for the individual sessions (8). There has been noticeable change in both Sid and myself. With Angela’s guidance, I recognize his signs and am able to navigate situations smoothly. This is a wonderful program and approach to better communication between dog and owner. I highly recommend!

Angela helped my two german shepherd so much over their training months. With bo being reactive to people, dogs, and everything new, she gave us the knowledge on how to help him and keep him comfortable and figure out where his bubble is and helped his bubble shrink! She helped duke with pulling hard on walks and being overly excited when coming home and jumping, he no longer pulls on the leash and he does not jump on us anymore! We also got to learn some amazing new tricks, like spin, center, touch,and relaxation exercises. She helped our dogs become more comfortable with care like ear cleaning, teeth brushing and nail clipping. We have learned a lot more and highly recommend Angela for any of your puppy problems!

Serenity is the perfect name for Angela's training! This is our third dog but our first time with formal training. Angela is very intuitive and can read Bennie (puppy), our home (virtual training was great!) and the humans so well. Our pup loved the sessions and Angela's approach and enthusiasm. Her focus is on understanding and working WITH the dog's personality, strengths and feelings rather than "controlling" the dog. She also explains the "why" of our pup's behavior and makes the entire lesson like a game! I would recommend Serenity Dog Training to anyone from puppies to dogs with "big feelings". Angela at Serenity Dog Training is a very creative problem solver when it comes dog behavior. She is really on top of things. Our dog loved the classes and I highly recommend her!

Maisey is our first dog and we were feeling really overwhelmed. We didn’t know where to start with training! A few months after Maisey was adopted as a rescue, we started private lessons with Angela. The experience really helped us understand Maisey and appreciate her for who she is! We learned how to help her based on her temperament/breed, teach her how to follow basic commands and do some pretty cool tricks. Overall, we finished the sessions much more confident and excited to be first time dog owners! She got us off on the right track. Gave wonderful handouts and helpful suggestions- went out of her way to check in routinely and tackle new things that came up. Angela is such a natural with dogs-Maisey was nervous at the time but loved her from first moment! We were so glad we did this!

We had some concerns with Stanley’s progress with previous training. We then went to Angela and Serenity Dog Training. This was the perfect next step. We identified what we wanted to work on and then did so in real time with Angela. . Angela also gave us items to work on at home, Stanley continues to learn and become a great companion. We've worked with Angela twice now and highly recommend her. Most recently we did virtual training at home with our Cavalier King Charles Spaniel puppy with once-a-week puppy recess in-person. Angela's tips and techniques are effective and easily implemented (our 9 year old daughter often joins training sessions).

Angela was fabulous to work with, flexibie in training times and fun to teach Elsa and us. She was encouraging from the beginning to the last session. Angelas follow through was exemplary also; she was great about sending ideas and links to be helpful as well as checked in with us between classes. Our mini sheepadoodle is charged with energy and gets in “over her head” with distractions rather easily. Angela taught several ways to gain her attention snd praise her responses. After adopting a cute little 6 month old hound shepherd mix pup we did group puppy classes, worked on basic obedience. However, despite all this we noticed our pup was becoming more reactive especially while on leash. We were really struggling with walks, hikes, and runs with our reactive pup. Angela has been a life saver. She helped us understand his reactivity and anxiety and gave us the tools to help him navigate the world. Now he is more more comfortable and confident on walks and runs and loves exploring! Virtual meetings worked so well for my husband and I with our busy work schedule and worked much better than we thought it would. Our dog loved it too! We worked at home and in the car on reactivity triggers, positive reinforcement and then eventually worked up to in person sessions When we met Angela in person she was so comforting and worked at our dogs pace. She walked us through tips and tricks for safe and stress free introductions and it was an incredibly positive experience. Overall our experience with serenity dog training was life changing. We went from considering rehoming our new adopted dog due to struggles with reactivity and stress to now thriving and absolutely loving our hilarious and more confident hound. I highly recommend Angela - she is absolutely incredible!!

I approached Angela after my dog, Sally, turned 3. Sally had had obedience training and agility training but all of a sudden started exhibited extreme protective behaviors: barking at the door, anyone who walked by the house, hair raised on her back. Many other alarming and concerning behaviors. So sudden and intense she couldn’t listen to me. I signed up for the 10 sessions private training. I was afraid of the alternative. Angela worked through to teach me about dog behavior and Sally’s behaviors. She gave me positive tips on turning Sally’s anxiety into a game. Everything is a game! Sally loved school. And Angela used technology to get the most out of our sessions. By video conference we were able to work with Sally on her behaviors in the home. This was powerful: like a house visit by the doctor to see the issue and adapt our home and responses to make a difference in Sally. We have both learned a lot. Now with consistency we can game/train to continue to help Sally manage her anxiety responses. We’ve even gotten compliments on her behavior when hiking the trail! Thank you Angela!

While some trainers have a one size fits all way of dealing with dog behaviors, that is not the case for Angela. She is able to come up with unique ways to help you with very individual and specific challenges that your dog may have. She has a pleasant personality and is nonjudgmental. Angela explains things well and is very easy to work with. I love that her work revolves around kindness as that is how our household believes animals need to be treated as well. Our little rescue dog has a lot of anxiety with me leaving her, and although it’s still a work in progress, she has come a long way with Angela’s help. Knowing I can call on Angela to offer guidance, in all of the vast unique challenges, has offered me great peace of mind. The BehaviorCare program is well worth the cost and time and effort.

I reached out to Angela to help with puppy training and it was a great experience. Unlike going to obedience classes or a one time lesson, she offers a subscription.. so we could schedule regular, in home training. This allowed one on one work in our home environment so she could guide me thru all the nuances of teaching our pup. (And teaching us!) I was so appreciative of all the tips and explanations. We learned basic commands but then worked on grooming, dental and ear care, curbing naughty behaviors, good walking manners and appropriate greeting and recall work. (And more) So common sense and I was blown away by how quickly things came together. I highly recommend her. And so does Louie!

Angela was a wonderful, kind and responsive dog trainer. Based on where we live and that our puppy was very nervous around new people we selected the virtual option and it worked very well for all of us. Each session ran smoothly and she would either have a plan ahead of time or change on the fly based on our pup’s reactions to things. She was always quick with responses and easy to get ahold of for questions or unexpected situations. She is kind and incredibly knowledgeable and we would highly recommend training with her!!

We enlisted the help of Serenity Dog Training when we didn't know what to do with our dogs anymore. One of them was having redirected aggression when seeing pray and would go after our other dog. Though the training we were giving the tools and understanding on how to manage the situation and stop the fighting. It has been 8 months now and we have been fighting free. Not only did we learn how to manage the pray dive but we were also giving the tools to make every day life more manageable. Thank you!

Last week, I completed my course with Serenity Dog Training. Angela Beta was patient, very kind (my dogs loved her) and showed much knowledge about training and teaching ME the basics of redirecting reactivity and remaining calm! Even tho it was my GSD that was signed up, she was gracious and included my other dog, as well! Some of our training was virtual and worked well as I live a distance out and I could then accommodate her schedule as well. Still have a ways to go but I highly recommend her program!! Serenity came to my and did one on one training with all 3 of my dogs, Angela is friendly, knowledgeable and professional. My dogs absolutely adore her. She interacted well with my dogs. My lab mix 6 momth old pup was the main client, she helped to understand his behaviors and helped me to help him how to make good choices and be a successful calm boy. We couldn’t recommend Serenity Dog Training enough! We purchased the 10 class package of private training sessions and Angela has been so fantastic. Until finding Serenity Dog Training, we struggled so much with training our 2 1/2 year old quarantine puppy. Our dog Badger is high energy, reactive and not well socialized. Angela had been so patient, working with us at Badger’s pace, and she has given us the tools to teach and train Badger. Her gentle, non-harming approach to dog training has not only helped us to manage Badger’s behaviors but also made our bond with Badger so much stronger.

We took our puppies, Rex and Scout, to Grogu's Puppy Preschool last summer. It was the perfect foundation to start our training journey. We can really tell how much the tips for socialization has helped our dogs be confident in public too. Angela worked with each dogs personality, and adjusted her guidance accordingly. She's very knowledgeable, highly recommend!

What an amazing difference Serenity dog training has made in our lives! Our high energy pup has calmed down so much since we began the program. Taking a positive reinforcement aproach to training has made all the difference in effectively training our dog. With the tools we've learned from Serenity Dog training, we are able to walk without a prong collar (and all guilt on our part and pain on the dog's part). With the tools fostered by Angela I am confident we will foster and maintain a much better relationship with our young pup.

Awesome training! Dynamic training, lots of resources, friendly atmosphere, Angela knows her stuff. We took puppy training class and recess. Huge difference in how we approach behaviors and huge progress...highly recommend for any age of dog.

Great dog training experience with Angela who helped us learn how to better manage developing behaviors with our rather stubborn Heller/mix puppy of 4-5 months. Her techniques of positive reinforcement are very effective, especially for a rescue puppy. Additionally, she is very supportive and active with the local animal sheltering community, donating her time and resources to these organizations. Highly recommend Angela for all your dog training needs!

Moose came to us with some pretty big feelings and reactivity to things that our other dogs never would have blinked at, so we knew we needed professional guidance. Angela has provided a structured yet flexible approach that helps us understand Moose better and helps him be the best dog he can be. He's come so far and I know we'll see even more progress as we go. I highly recommend her!

Great dog trainer. She teaches the fundamental basic on commands like sit, laydown, etc. She took time to thoroughly explain commands to where my dog Belle understood them. Highly recommend!!!
