Nikki is an amazing and patient trainer and we learned so much in our 5 weeks of training! Any questions or issues we had she was always happy to give suggestions and help! We'll definitely be back for more classes!

We were so impressed with Nikki and the Level 1 and Level 2 classes for our dog. The progress our dog made over the 10 weeks was so helpful and we looked forward to going each week. Nikki was patient and able to give advice on how to go about solving issues we had in our dog’s training. Scholars in Collars is a great place to take your dog!

Scholars in Collars and Nikki are AMAZING! I cannot say enough positive things about the training programs they offer! My dog and I recently completed the Level 1 class and will be starting the Level 2 class soon. My dog learned just as much as I did and the class allowed us to bond in a productive and useful way. My dog's listening skills have vastly improved and I'm so excited to continue that growth. The difference in my dog's first day of class picture versus his Level 1 graduation picture speaks volumes! Nikki understands that each person's idea of a "perfect dog" is different and works with you to meet your specific needs. The training classes are engaging, fun, encouraging, and reinforcing. Beyond just the skill training tips, Nikki provides lifestyle tips that have made a huge difference in my household as well. This place was recommended to me by a previous customer and another trainer. I took my 5 month old Great Dane for the Level 1 group lesson. The instructor has a wonderful way with dogs, we enjoyed the class, and we learned several basic commands. She had several tips to keep us successful. I just signed up for level 2.

We could not be happier with our experience with Scholars in Collars! Nikki and Tyana are the absolute best! We do both Day School Training and Private Lessons and have learned so much. We recommend them to everyone and will absolutely be continuing on with them, to make sure we have happy, well behaved, social and exposed babies!!

We took our rescue, Nala, to Scholars with Collars and we were not disappointed. She was 2 years old when we rescued her and I was concerned about safety as she is a 100+ pound Great Dane. I am happy to say that I can now confidently walk her without concern for anyone's safety. Nikki has so much knowledge and patience! She is wonderful with both large and small dogs. I always felt comfortable asking for help with specific concerns and she gave great advice. We were so happy with level one that we have signed up for level two.

Scholars in collars has been a great experience so far! My husband and I have just completed level one with our husky. We are hoping to get our dog certified as a therapy dog. We had a great experience with Nikki! She is very patient and open to understanding every dog is different. Maverick is full of energy and had a hard time focusing at first but has made big progress during our level 1 training. He is signed up for level 2 and we are excited to see his progress throughout that class as well. Maverick has shown positive behavior changes at home and is doing very well with his training. I swear Nikki is a dog whisperer!! She is a fantastic dog trainer and loves her students as much as her own dogs! Max is a tough nugget, but with Nikki’s help, he is slowly learning basic obedience.

My puppy Piper, an 18 week old cane corso, just finished her level 1 class with Nikki! When we started she only knew how to sit and was having a difficult time with walking on a leash without being afraid of all the different noises and dogs in our neighborhood. By the end of the classes, Piper could successfully lay down, touch, stay, wait, leave it, watch me and walk on a leash in our neighborhood even with dogs barking and cars rushing by. Piper absolutely LOVES Nikki. She was always so exited to come into class and work. Nikki has a positive energy about her. At this time I would recommend anyone to go to her level one class to learn some basics for their pup! I plan on signing up for the level 2 class as well. Thankyou Nikki for giving us a roadmap for success! 😊

I had a great experience taking my puppy to level 1 and 2 classes. Nikki provides a wealth of knowledge and many different tips to help your dog succeed. If one instruction method isn't working for your dog she knows how to teach other ways until they understand. My dog loves seeing her too.

My puppy, Archie, and I had a great experience with Level 1 classes. He has grown so much over just 5 weeks and I’ve never seen him so excited as when we’re walking into class! We loved it so much that we signed him up for the Day Training program and Level 2 classes. Can’t wait to continue to watch his progress!

Being newly retired with a crazy puppy was a little overwhelming but Nikki and her class provided much needed training tips. She is amazing with the dogs. We learned several tips that actually worked. Can’t wait to continue and have a well trained dog!

We called in Tyana after Willow flunked two puppy classes. Tyana came to our home and worked with Willow one on one. We had weekly tasks to help Willow in areas such as jumping and pulling on her walks. Tyana was amazing with her and so calm. Willow is so much easier to handle now and we are forever grateful! Highly recommend!

Nikki is a phenomenal trainer! We have had the pleasure of working with her with two of our dogs... One, a two year old shelter dog who started off not being able to walk on a leash and ended up, 13 months later, a certified therapy dog--all thanks to Nikki! We are now training our huge but excitable pittie mix puppy with her at this beautiful facility. Nikki has a weird and wonderful way with all the pups. She is so good at being able to quickly and accurately notice when the dog understands, and help the owners to recognize it, too. She is consistent, professional, personable, and friendly. There's no scarring the dogs, no yelling, and she thinks so well on her feet. Nikki is truly in her element and we have recommended her again and again. Classes are fun for humans and dogs both!

Milo loves going to Nikkis place and hanging with all his friends. Great place for him to be socialized around other dogs that he normally doesn't see on a daily basis. It helps him be a more social dog when we are out . Thanks for all you have done in helping me train milo over the years. Hes such a good boy.

I also love that she works with her own dogs outside of teaching classes and running a business to continually learn and grow as a trainer. We are so lucky to have a facility like hers in the area. I have taken my golden retriever and my Doddle through 3 levels of training and have done day training. I only have great things to say about scholars in collars and Nikki. She is fantastic with dogs and teaching you how to be most effective with your dogs training. Both of my dogs learned differently and she was very patient and encouraging through out the process. My dogs are very well behaved around the house and in public and I am so happy we chose to do training here! I can not say enough good things about scholar in collars!

I have a new puppy and i was shopping at pets supplies and started talking to another customer about training. They highly recommended Scholars in Collars Academy so i thought i would give them a try. I had previously tried a different trainer but wasnt 100% sold on them. I just completed my first round of training at SIC and am i happy i did. I love it there. You are indoors with a nice size class. The training was easy to follow and in a logical progressive sequence. We are starting level 2 soon. I would 100% recommend Scholars in Collars to anyone especially dogs with some problematic behaviors. I am glad i decided to give them a try. I wont go anywhere else!

We have gone through two levels of classes with Nikki and she is great! Xena has learned so much during the twelve weeks of classes. Nikki makes it fun but she is also very professional. Everything is done with positive reinforcement and love so your dog is happy to do what you ask. We just signed up for the level 3 classes. If you are looking for a happy, fun place to train your dog, Scholars with Collars is the place for you!!

I cannot say enough good things about our experiences here. Not only is the quality of service you receive excellent, but everything is made as streamlined and easy for the human client and clearly designed with the understanding that life happens so if you miss a class, you just send a message and you'll quickly be sent a link to access a video with everything that was covered in class that day to review when you can. We sent a message on a Friday night and got a response within minutes. The level of customer service is consistently very high. This is not a situation where someone is a genius at the job itself but being a customer is a lot of work - they just nail every aspect of what they do. Seeing how many services provided is also great because short of being a veterinary hospital, it seems they cover everything your dog could need and it just provides that much more peace of mind that my dog knows them, they know my dog, and it's not a revolving door of human workers who may or may not be a good match. I know who my dog is with and I trust them completely to keep my pup safe and happy. For context, I am a compulsive researcher who trusts no one and was unable to so much as find an exaggeration of a credential/award in this case. I even joined various professional forums online to search what people had to say about specific awards and courses and suffice it to say, Nikki's professional resume absolutely checks out. We completed our level 1 class with Nikki and I've already signed up our puppy for level 2 as well as day training twice weekly where we drop off in the morning and pick up at night after a day of playing and learning (including individual goals we need help with). Our first meeting involved our giant puppy jumping and doing all the things you don't want and I was immediately embarrassed, but Nikki is the embodiment of positive reinforcement and reassured us, calling him "confident" and deftly putting a stop to any sense of shame/embarrassment/judgement I had. No part of her interaction with dogs or clients comes off as anything but the most genuinely sweet and patient nature you could hope for in a person and she's equally effective at what she does. I'm still shocked at how much better our life with our puppy has gotten in just 5 weeks when I am definitely not the best at remembering to do my homework. I even suspect that the pricing here is kept to a level that allows for as many people and pups to benefit as possible because for the amount of thought and effort put into every part of the service provided, the price tag is nowhere near what they're worth. I grew up associating professional dog training as something reserved for those with more disposable income, but even before you consider how much you'll save on vet bills and replacing destroyed belongings (not to mention the savings in frustration), the cost is more than reasonable so don't deprive yourself of the best possible low stress relationship with your dog that you can have over the same misconception I labored under. I have been unable to just say "yeah, Nikki's great I definitely recommend her" in favor of talking people's ears off. I love seeing this caliber of talent contributing to Erie and seeing this caliber of human being able to succeed at what they clearly love doing. As paranoid as I am of a great small business getting too big and losing what made it special, they deserve nothing but success and you + your dogs deserve the quality of life improvements provided here. I hope this novella of overt gushing doesn't make future interactions as a client weird/stressful for Nikki and her colleagues. I just genuinely have nothing but the deepest admiration for how things are done here and wouldn't want to change a thing in how we interact or how my dog is treated. Small business person to small business person, you have built something so truly special and it is a joy to witness!

I have taken my golden retriever and my Doddle through 3 levels of training and have done day training. I only have great things to say about scholars in collars and Nikki. She is fantastic with dogs and teaching you how to be most effective with your dogs training. Both of my dogs learned differently and she was very patient and encouraging through out the process. My dogs are very well behaved around the house and in public and I am so happy we chose to do training here! I can not say enough good things about scholar in collars!

I have a new puppy and i was shopping at pets supplies and started talking to another customer about training. They highly recommended Scholars in Collars Academy so i thought i would give them a try. I had previously tried a different trainer but wasnt 100% sold on them. I just completed my first round of training at SIC and am i happy i did. I love it there. You are indoors with a nice size class. The training was easy to follow and in a logical progressive sequence. We are starting level 2 soon. I would 100% recommend Scholars in Collars to anyone especially dogs with some problematic behaviors. I am glad i decided to give them a try. I wont go anywhere else!

We have gone through two levels of classes with Nikki and she is great! Xena has learned so much during the twelve weeks of classes. Nikki makes it fun but she is also very professional. Everything is done with positive reinforcement and love so your dog is happy to do what you ask. We just signed up for the level 3 classes. If you are looking for a happy, fun place to train your dog, Scholars with Collars is the place for you!!

I cannot say enough good things about our experiences here. Not only is the quality of service you receive excellent, but everything is made as streamlined and easy for the human client and clearly designed with the understanding that life happens so if you miss a class, you just send a message and you'll quickly be sent a link to access a video with everything that was covered in class that day to review when you can. We sent a message on a Friday night and got a response within minutes. The level of customer service is consistently very high. This is not a situation where someone is a genius at the job itself but being a customer is a lot of work - they just nail every aspect of what they do. Seeing how many services provided is also great because short of being a veterinary hospital, it seems they cover everything your dog could need and it just provides that much more peace of mind that my dog knows them, they know my dog, and it's not a revolving door of human workers who may or may not be a good match. I know who my dog is with and I trust them completely to keep my pup safe and happy. For context, I am a compulsive researcher who trusts no one and was unable to so much as find an exaggeration of a credential/award in this case. I even joined various professional forums online to search what people had to say about specific awards and courses and suffice it to say, Nikki's professional resume absolutely checks out. We completed our level 1 class with Nikki and I've already signed up our puppy for level 2 as well as day training twice weekly where we drop off in the morning and pick up at night after a day of playing and learning (including individual goals we need help with). Our first meeting involved our giant puppy jumping and doing all the things you don't want and I was immediately embarrassed, but Nikki is the embodiment of positive reinforcement and reassured us, calling him "confident" and deftly putting a stop to any sense of shame/embarrassment/judgement I had. No part of her interaction with dogs or clients comes off as anything but the most genuinely sweet and patient nature you could hope for in a person and she's equally effective at what she does. I'm still shocked at how much better our life with our puppy has gotten in just 5 weeks when I am definitely not the best at remembering to do my homework. I even suspect that the pricing here is kept to a level that allows for as many people and pups to benefit as possible because for the amount of thought and effort put into every part of the service provided, the price tag is nowhere near what they're worth. I grew up associating professional dog training as something reserved for those with more disposable income, but even before you consider how much you'll save on vet bills and replacing destroyed belongings (not to mention the savings in frustration), the cost is more than reasonable so don't deprive yourself of the best possible low stress relationship with your dog that you can have over the same misconception I labored under. I have been unable to just say "yeah, Nikki's great I definitely recommend her" in favor of talking people's ears off. I love seeing this caliber of talent contributing to Erie and seeing this caliber of human being able to succeed at what they clearly love doing. As paranoid as I am of a great small business getting too big and losing what made it special, they deserve nothing but success and you + your dogs deserve the quality of life improvements provided here. I hope this novella of overt gushing doesn't make future interactions as a client weird/stressful for Nikki and her colleagues. I just genuinely have nothing but the deepest admiration for how things are done here and wouldn't want to change a thing in how we interact or how my dog is treated. Small business person to small business person, you have built something so truly special and it is a joy to witness!

We have enjoyed worked with Tyana for the last 6 months! She has helped us perfect walking on a leash and has taught us how to manage unwanted behaviors. Without the help of Scholars in Collars, our sweet Kirby would be no where near she is today. Would highly recommend them to anyone looking for help with training!

Simply put, Nikki is the best there is! Our dog loves her and so do we. Nikki is super helpful during class, and if you and your dog are struggling she will offer alternatives or advice until you and your dog fully grasp the concept and learn it together! I have taken 4 classes with Nikki so far and I'm excited to see her continue to succeed while chasing her dreams.
