Rachel is a phenomenal trainer that will take time to get to know not just your dog, but you as well. Her approach to training is incredibly thorough and most importantly kind, fact based and will help you build a relationship with your dog! Rachel will take time to show you what she is teaching, explain the how and why of a behavior to you and will never make you feel bad for asking questions or making a mistake (because lets be real, we all do!). Riley would also like to note that Rachel hands out lots of tasty treats! Having her in your corner as a trainer is invaluable!

Rachel at Paws and Connect has been such a lifesaver with my Great Dane Chloe who is almost 2 years old. My dog is very fearful towards people and other dogs. She is picky about who can come up to her and pet her. We are so happy with the progress Chloe has made all because of Rachel, who I highly recommend if you need any training for your dog.

Rachel taught Wentworth tricks and then when he was struggling with reactivity during times he was out and about she did intensive training to help him. The reactive dog training has made a huge difference in his life! He is so much happier and clearly feels safer when we are on walks! Rachel is the bomb!

My adolescent spaniel and I took a group class with Rachel and she was an excellent instructor. We had fun and did lots of activities that helped us build our communication and practice valuable life skills. Especially Stay, which was really, really hard for him!! We were sad to hear she’d be moving to Rochester. But NY folks, jump on the opportunity to work with Rachel! She’s a gem.

I worked with Rachel back when she was in Maryland. My dog was slightly reactive and she was fantastic at accommodating us and giving us a toolbox to work with when he was having a meltdown which made me feel so much better when we were in class. She is also very knowledgeable about canine conditioning and her fit dog classes are not only enjoyable but helped my dog gain more mobility with his bad knees! I cannot recommend her enough!! Don’t wait just go!

Rachel is kind, compassionate and so knowledgeable. She is a great teacher and an amazing coach! She always goes above and beyond to make sure you get what you need from her training sessions and she’s so encouraging. Since working with Rachel, my knowledge on dog behavior has improved greatly and my relationship with my dog has gotten so much better!

We have gone through several classes of training with Rachel and she is amazing . We did tricks classes with her. She is creative with ideas for working with your specific dog and really understands what your dog needs. Highly recommend!
