The last 3 months of training with Padfoot has made a world of a difference in our dog's (Percy) reactiveness. Aside from dog training, Tyler and the Padfoot team did a great job of teaching my wife and I how to do the training ourselves. Before training, Percy would bark at a creaky floorboard, or a dog's bark from a mile away. We couldn't have windows open without full volume alert barks piercing the space around us. Now, she goes on walks and passes by most dogs without a second glance, and we can recognize when she's feeling overwhelmed and needs to go home. Where previously we couldn't imagine going to a restaurant for fear of her reactiveness, we've been able to comfortably visit downtown Golden without more than a grumble. Even before we put a dime down, we had a phone consultation so that we could communicate what we were looking for and whether Tyler could help. We scheduled a session afterwards and saw Tyler and Percy build a trusting relationship in every session. We could see Percy give him more trust and was willing to try things outside of her comfort zone more often. Padfoot also has a subscription plan that we're jumping in on. Now that we're past the main issues of reactiveness, we can explore other stuff we might want to do: camping, going to breweries, or going on vacation with Percy. We got recommendations for books, they've sent us some scholarly articles (when we've shown interest) and we enjoy talking with all of their staff. We're incredibly happy with the training that Padfoot has done with Percy, and also for all the training they've done with us. We feel enabled to try different things and enjoy everything with her. Anybody with a dog they're interested in training, whether the dog is anxious, reactive, aggressive, or just looking for something to do, we recommend Padfoot.

We’re still in the middle of our training journey, but so far working with Padfoot and Tyler has been such a refreshing experience. It’s been wonderful to have someone who truly takes the time to understand and work with our dog’s individual needs. Tyler has done an incredible job helping us learn how to build Bear’s confidence and make him feel more comfortable in his own skin. He’s not only helped Bear grow, but has also done a great job teaching us along the way so we can continue supporting him at home. We’re very grateful for everything we’ve learned so far and are excited to see even more progress as we continue working with Tyler and the Padfoot team. Highly recommend!

Tyler and Annika have been an immense help with guiding us to train our rescue dog, Chloe. She is an incredibly energetic dog and the team at Padfoot have been guiding us on how best to work with Chloe, redirect her energy, and have her be a great canine citizen. We've been working with the team since June 2025 and saw great results within the first couple of weeks. We intend to continue working with Tyler and Annika because they deliver results, their knowledge regarding training is impressive, and they legitimately care about dogs and their relationship to us.

I've been a client of Padfoot Pets since 2019, and I can't recommend Kat, Amanda and Annika enough! My dog, a Great Pyrenees, has a strong instinct to protect, which made walks and encounters with other dogs challenging. Thanks to their Real World Training sessions, he's become so much more relaxed and confident. Their training has truly made a difference—not only is he happier, but we can also walk him during the day without worrying about him lunging at every dog in sight. The team at Padfoot Pets understands both dogs and their owners, and their approach has been incredibly effective and supportive. Padfoot has provided incredible support for my reactive pup, Gus! They have been the perfect next step after we began addressing his behavior challenges with positive reinforcement training, and started to get a decent handle on things. Our trainer, Perry, is the best, and Gus adores him. Perry has even been taking Gus on outings to Home Depot and to pet stores, something I never thought my pup would be able to do. I'm so proud! Highly recommend Padfoot! And positive reinforcement training in general... Gus continues to improve year after year!

My experience with Padfoot has been exceptional thanks to Perry, Kat, and Tyler! We've trusted them with our high-energy German Shorthaired Pointers for years, and they have never disappointed. They excel at tailoring training to fit our dogs' unique personalities and our specific needs and preferences. Their ability to explain concepts clearly and their willingness to patiently answer all our questions have been invaluable. We've been doing weekly real-world training sessions with Perry for our younger pup to improve his calmness and focus amidst distractions, and we've seen remarkable progress. Taking the group training class, Real World Basics, was a true game changer for us. It provided a fantastic opportunity to train our pup in real-life scenarios while receiving immediate feedback on our techniques. This class not only boosted our confidence but also strengthened our bond with our dogs.The homework assignments given after each session were practical and effective, allowing us to build on what we learned week by week. Overall, Padfoot has been instrumental in helping us nurture well-behaved and happy dogs. We couldn't be more grateful for their expertise and dedication to pet training! Tyler and Lee have been working with our dog Milky Way, an adult rescue with a lot of anxiety issues. Padfoot Pet's program has reduced MW's reactivity during walks and we can now have guests in the house without him stressing out. Thank you, Tyler and Padfoot Pets!

I’ve been working with Tyler and Annika since November 2024 doing a series of training sessions and real world trainings and have seen a huge improvement in my dog Isaac. I got him from Max fund at the age of 4 and am pretty sure he was abused. They are the fourth professional dog trainers I have tried and the only ones who’ve helped him to be less reactive and didn’t use a shock collar (e-collar) or dog dominance methods. The relaxation protocol has been so helpful in easing Isaac’s anxiety fueled aggression. The hand outs and explications of dog behavior have been excellent. It was also super convenient as the trainings were all in home (I’m in Sunnyside). I’ll probably continue on with their membership in a few months. Isaac is just so much calmer and less reactive to hands being near his face and feet moving near him! His “place” command is way better and improving each day with just a couple minutes of training before I feed him.

Kat and Amanda have been wonderful to work with! I have a reactive but (mostly) sweet dog and the training and expertise provided by this team is second to none. Would highly recommend this company for any of your dog training needs! And my difficult dog loves Kat and Amanda!!! Harmon's behaviors and ability to navigate the world have significantly improved with their training!

Amanda and Tyler have been great to have helping work with my dog. The skills and experience that they have are obvious from the first conversation with them. I have had no concerns trusting them with my pup.

The whole team at Padfood Pet Services is amazing. We've used them for multiple house sits while we were out of town. Finding someone who would take care of my dogs and house made the trip so much better knowing both were in excellent hands. Most recently they've helped us with our energetic GSP, specifically with his barking. Tyler has been wonderful as a coach to the humans in the house. His empathetic approach to the reality of the demands of life like juggling work, kids, etc. helped us set realistic goals and a realistic timeframe. I can't say enough good things about Amanda and her gentle dog training methods. She has been great with our pup, but also great with assisting the rest of us with techniques and tools to make him the best dog he can be. Highly recommend!

Our pup has energy to spare. Padfoot Pets has made an enormous difference in our 6 month old puppy. Thank you Tyler and Lee for all that you continue to do to teach us and "Banks" to be a good doggie family.

We have worked with Tyler and Kat for years and cannot recommend them more highly. Our rescue pup didn't have a history of healthy early experiences and due to that is reactive to different people, situations, sounds, etc. Transitions are difficult for him too. It can feel hard and isolating when you have a reactive pup you love so much and aren't quite sure how to help. Not only are Tyler and Kat very experienced trainers with reactive dogs like ours, they are very good teachers in helping us better understand our dog's needs and supporting us as we learn so that we can be great guardians too. They've installed confidence in us and our pup who can now enjoy different experiences in his way, meet other dogs, and gets to experience a fun, playful world that is a little less anxiety inducing for him.

We just completed the "Real World Basics" group class. What a difference! This was not an entry-level learn to sit puppy class; it was a learn to communicate with your doggo, build your bond, and face the world class. Our fuzzy companion is calmer, less shy, and generally easier to get along with. Tyler, Kat, and Perry are truly dog people, and their positive approach made everyone, especially the dogs, calm and ready to learn. Our class was held at Pet Wants in Old Town Arvada, Sharon and company there were welcoming, and definitely earned our future business too. We look forward to learning more from Padfoot!

It's easy sometimes to forget how far they've come. We've had a true test this week with construction workers working on the outside of the house. My pup has done a GREAT job ignoring them and not reacting to all the noise and people walking past the windows. She doesn't get upset when I go outside to talk to them either. And we were even able to sit on the front lawn together and watch them. These are BIG WINS. I'm so proud of her and am thankful to Tyler and Annika for all their help!

Tyler is doing an amazing job with our German Shepherd and we could not be happier! We adopted Oreo, an 8 month old GSD packed with energy and some less than desirable behaviors, back in August and had to bring in Tyler to fix resource guarding and leash issues. Today Oreo can easily go on a walk on a leash and her guarding has been greatly reduced. He provided us with the instruments to keep working on improving the relationship with our pet and understand her needs. He is always happy, ready to answer any of our questions and we can definitely see the return on investment. We would highly recommend Tyler.

We met Tyler when we did a puppy class at the place he used to work. We've done a few tune up sessions since then. Can't say enough good things about Tyler and Kat, although we've mostly worked with Tyler. Our 2 yo Boxer mix has never been OK with kids, but using the skills Tyler taught us we were able to safely have a 12 yo house guest and by the end they were good buddies. She's less reactive to kids on walks now too. I can heartily recommend Padfoot for any dog, but especially ones who have quirks that the average owner wouldn't know how to manage. They can really make your life easier and understand dog behavior thoroughly.

I adopted two nine year old brothers who were in a puppy mill and I was way over my head and desperate. Thankfully I found Padfoot Pets and their scientific, positive reinforcement method right in my backyard. I don’t feel overwhelmed anymore. The pups are showing significant progress every single day. I absolutely love the two trainers who I have worked with, Amanda and Tyler, and I cannot express enough how grateful I am. I don’t feel alone anymore and only feel hopeful! I think my pups feel the same, :0)

Kat and Tyler are incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and experienced with smart dogs with hyper focus, prey drives, and “selective hearing” in regard to boundaries. Kat has already helped Sophie and I with clear instructions and options to reduce triggers. Kat has a joyful, , non-judgmental approach that Sophie immediately liked. Kat provided simple, clear activities for introducing better boundaries and de-escalation opportunities so both Sophie and I can exhale and relax a little. Progress!!

My dog and I did the training class at Pet Wants Arvada. We had a great experience with the class, the trainers are amazing and I would highly recommend!

Excellent trainers, we have seen such an improvement in our Mastiff! She loves her trainer and her weekly sessions.

Tyler and Amanda have been helping my Scrappy Doo get acquainted with his new roommates slowly and safely and are doing a wonderful job!!

Tyler demonstrates exceptional expertise in what he does, and has the empathy to work well with different owners/dogs/situations. Despite the myriad factors working against him in his environment (transition, roommates etc.) Banjo is already showing dramatic improvement in his reactive behavior, less than halfway through the program. He still has a ways to go, but the results so far are encouraging. More importantly I feel like I am being given the tools to better understand my dog and succeed in the long run.
