This Drop In classes for dogs with some NoseWork Experience. Your dog must be on odor. You can come and go as you please! Sign up cut off is 12 hours prior to class time.
**PLEASE READ THE DESCRIPTION BEFORE YOU SIGN UP!** SAVE $10 PER PACKAGE! when you sign up for a 3 month subscription!! This is available for students who have been with us through the beginner classes and one round of Intermediate classes only! Not valid for NoseWork I, II, and the first round of Intermediate class. Also not valid for Drop In NoseWork. This will auto renew every 4 weeks 3 times. This is not a package for a drop in service! These classes are to be used in succession. You may not reschedule one class to another. Cancelation of this subscription will result in a fee. The fee will depend on how many classes you have taken. This subscription saves you $10 per package so you would have to pay the savings back if canceled early. There will be no refunds once a charge has gone through.
This package is for experienced NoseWork Students who are attending our Advanced classes or Intermediate classes after attending one 6 week Intermediate class. Not valid for Beginner classes or your first round of Intermediate classes.
NoseWork I - Intro to odor Start Date: Sunday, September 27th at 1:00pm Class Dates: 9/27, 10/4, 10/11, 10/18 Instructor: LeNore Ralston 4 weeks Nosework is easily the hottest new dog sport around and is growing in popularity! It's fun for humans & dogs and it's good for building confidence and focus in dogs that have issues like shyness, reactivity, aggression, or a simple lack of confidence. Any dog can participate; from puppies to very old or retired dogs. In a matter of weeks, you'll see your dog confidently ignoring distractions and focusing on the target scent. In this class, you will learn about the basic concepts in searching for odor, proper use of equipment, how to handle odor, how to make and place hides, and how to teach your dog the importance of odor obedience. You will also learn how to make the search for scent extremely important to your dog.
Start Date: Thursday, September 10th at 1:00pm Class Dates: 9/10, 9/17, 9/24, 10/1, 10/8, 10/15 6 week course Continue your NoseWork journey by teaching your dog to recognize additional odors and how to find them in more difficult locations. We also introduce locating odor outdoors and on vehicles and work on leash handling skills. You will also learn more about how odor “behaves”, what to look for in different environmental conditions, and how dogs are able to distinguish one odor from another. Through all of this, you and your dog will grow closer as a working team, bonding as you experience success in this fun activity.
