I had to call in help after a very large brawl that broke out during the holidays. Unfortunately we separated them in the crazy of it all and that was the worst thing to do. Meladee was amazing from the beginning. We spoke on the phone for a very long time and I felt like she heard everything I said. We worked together and my girls did not make me a liar- they were serious over one another and was not making any of this easy. I would work on what she suggested between visits and I would send her texts of questions or successes. We even got to a point I could handle the two of them outside of the house and joined one of her walks. She was a huge savior for me and really did work with me, not come in and tell me all I was doing wrong. We moved during all of this and she even helped me with a plan in the new house. Happy to report all are living in harmony again 🎉. I 100% recommend Meladee for any training services or even pet sitting. She did both for me. I promise, you will love her!

Would recommend 1000%!! Meladee has a true gift with dogs! Her 3 week board and train class has made all the difference with my pit mix, Zeus. Because of Meladee’s training, Zeus no longer jumps on people, he is respectful of doorways, and calmly walks/runs beside me with minimal pulling. Even after completing training, I have used her boarding services multiple times a year as I travel for work. Zeus loves to stay and I never have to worry about his care!

To say that Mel is an amazing trainer is a severe understatement! I started training Kai when he was 8months old because as a puppy he was already super high strung. Which 3 years later he is still high strung lol Mel training was very thorough and educational as well. Mel teaches you to understand and read a dog body language and cues which made training so much easier for Kai and I. After training Kai is super friendly with other dogs and has learned to respect other dogs boundaries and warnings. Off leash and recall is AMAZING! His recall training has came in clutch so many times for me. The other part of training too was teaching Kai to obey my command when other dogs are a distraction for various reasons. Which has been another clutch for me. Especially when other owners can’t control their dogs behavior. For boarding purposes, I ONLY use Mel. It’s affordable and worth every penny. Kai LOVES going over. Mel sends picture and videos of updates. Kai gets to go outside and run around to release his energy. That part is very important to me because I do NOT want him in a kennel all day long like some pet boarding companies do. Mel is also very knowledgeable about each dog personalities that she boards and trains. Which is great because Kai can play with other dogs as well during his stay. Kai does have sensitive stomach issues so he is on a particular diet. Mel makes sure to follow diet instructions to a T which is very comforting.

I have a reactive dog and had to board him while completely some military training. My baby had the best time, made some dog friends, and seems so much more social and calm now. I’m so incredibly thankful and happy. Couldn’t recommend more
Thank you so much! I am looking forward to having Brax over again!

Meladee is a true professional and super sweet and great with our puppies. It was our first time boarding them while we went out of town for a long weekend. She remained in communication with us and even sent pictures. Our puppies came home happy and healthy. I could tell that they received the love and attention that we give them at home. She made us feel comfortable with leaving them in her care and I could tell the girls enjoyed their stay. We definitely recommend and will be returning for future stays!

We couldn’t be more grateful for the incredible work Meladee did with our dogs! From the moment we met her, it was clear she truly understands dogs — and more importantly, how to help humans understand them too. Our pups came home from board and train more confident, better behaved, and happier overall. Meladee treated them like her own, and the updates she sent while they were away made the whole experience so reassuring. The difference in their leash manners, recall, and ability to stay calm around distractions is night and day. We feel so lucky to have found someone so passionate, knowledgeable, and genuinely caring. Highly recommend to anyone looking for real, lasting results! 🐾❤️

Meladee boarded my dogs over Christmas for almost 3 weeks. I have a Belgian Malinois & Standard Poodle. One who is selective of people and both high energy. They both did very well in Meladee’s care and enjoyed their stay at her house. I have also seen her training style in action and can’t say enough good things about her!
Thank you so much, Stacy! Trixie Sparkles and Ajax are so much fun and 100% always welcome in the future! Miss them!

I had to put ONE star just to let others know of my terrible experience. I recently boarded my dog with meledee while I was out of the state. His stay with her was the scariest experience that I would NOT wish on anyone. I paid for 5 days boarding and three days of training, a total of 8 days. His first two days seemed to be fine and on the 3rd day, I received a message from her that he had thrown up and was not acting himself. Within the next three days, he stopped eating and started pooping on himself. My daughter went to get him on the fifth day, and immediately, she knew something was terribly wrong and rushed him straight to the emergency hospital. We were told he was in kidney failure and on the verge of a heart attack. They didn't think he would make it through the night. The doctors told me they do NOT know how a dog trainer of 12 years would not know this was urgent. He was hospitalized for three days and treated. The vet stated the only thing it could have been was that he got into grapes, raisins, antifreeze, or something else toxic for dogs. Meledee did mention to my daughter that she has never seen a dog act like this in all her 12 years of boarding dogs, and yet she never indicated that a hospital visit was necessary. I am so thankful that my dog has recuperated fully, and I would NOT recommend anyone board their dog with meledee.
Hi Irene, I’m truly sorry to hear that Jet became ill after their stay. I completely understand how upsetting and concerning that must be. Please know that Jet’s well-being was a top priority throughout their time here. As we communicated about him throughout his stay, taking him to the vet was no issue for me but it is up to you if it doesn’t appear to be an emergency. As I am not a veterinarian, his behavior looked like he was sad and not like himself due to being in a new environment, as we had both agreed on. During all dog’s stay, I follow all care instructions provided and always take extra precautions to ensure a safe environment for all dogs. The yard is thoroughly checked daily, sanitized, and is free of any toxic plants or substances. Jet was monitored closely any time he was inside the house and outside to make sure he didn’t ingest anything unusual. Sometimes, even with careful supervision and a clean, controlled setting, dogs can experience stress or pick up a mild virus—especially if they’re around new dogs or in a new environment. No other dogs that were in my care at the time of Jet’s stay had experienced any symptoms similar to what he experienced and had not since they went back home, so I do believe this is an isolated incident. That said, I always take feedback seriously and genuinely appreciate you sharing your concerns. I hope Jet is feeling much better. Wishing you both the very best, Meladee Martinez
