TMJ Massage Therapy (Temporomandibular Joint Support Session)
This specialized TMJ Massage Therapy session is designed to support relaxation and improved mobility in the jaw, face, neck, and surrounding musculature. Using advanced, targeted massage techniques, this treatment focuses on releasing tension patterns commonly associated with clenching, grinding, stress, jaw fatigue, and overuse of the facial muscles.
Your session includes careful work along the muscles of the jaw, cheeks, temples, scalp, neck, and upper shoulders to help ease muscular tightness and encourage a sense of balance throughout the craniofacial region. When appropriate and within scope of practice, intraoral (inside the mouth) massage techniques are used with gloved, sanitary application to access deeper muscles that cannot be reached externally. This allows for more complete release of the masseter, pterygoid, and surrounding jaw stabilizing muscles.
This service is ideal for clients experiencing:
Jaw tightness or discomfort
TMJ-related muscular tension
Headaches or tension patterns linked to clenching
Facial stress from grinding or overuse
Neck and upper shoulder compensation patterns connected to jaw tension
Each session is focused on safety, comfort, and client consent throughout all intraoral and external work. This service is not a medical or dental treatment and does not diagnose or cure TMJ disorders; instead, it is a supportive therapeutic massage designed to reduce muscular tension and promote relaxation in the jaw and surrounding structures.
Gentle, intentional, and deeply grounding, this work invites the nervous system to unwind while creating more ease and space in one of the most overworked areas of the body.
This session will focus on the head, face, jaw, neck, shoulders and back.
