As barbers, we’re at the very beginning of your child’s grooming journey — and the way they feel in the chair now can shape how they feel for years to come. I’ve learned to move with the wiggles, adapt to their energy, and create a calm, patient environment. Encouragement and trust go a long way in building confidence for young clients (and future regulars!). If a child becomes too emotional or overwhelmed, I don’t believe in forcing the haircut to continue. In those cases, there will be no charge, but an immediate reschedule will be required. Their comfort and long-term experience always come first.
