We were at our wits end with our bloodhound. He was guarding his food and bed, having problems with our kids, and just unpredictable. We thought we would have to find him a new home. Then we found Lynn! She has done so much to help our dog be his best and help us give him what he needs. We were able to use her “trainer in your pocket” system so she could really see his behaviors and help us understand his triggers. Lynn was like a translator between us and our dog when we weren’t speaking the same language lol. She really taught us how to recognize his subtle cues and how to respond to them. Before we started working with her, our dog was a major source of frustration for our family. Lynn has helped us change his bad behaviors and even get him doing scent work which makes him so happy and is so fun for us to watch. She really knows how to bring out the best in a dog. Lynn is incredibly knowledgeable and so fun to work with. If you have a dog with bad behaviors call Lynn, you will be so glad you did!

I'm so grateful to be able to train with Lynne! There's nothing that me or my dogs look forward to most in a week than our group classes! She's seriously helped me understand my dog and my own way of communicating so much more and now I can transfer it to future animals or even other areas of my life. I get to meet the coolest people and do the things that most people overlook with their dogs. I can go to dog-friendly stores and they're behaved. I can go on a walk down Main Street and they're behaved. I can do a demonstration at the Lapoint Corn Maze (super fun btw!) and they're behaved. I can sit and do nothing but talk to my friends and they don't whine anymore. And if I need anything, Lynne has her "Trainer in Your Pocket" program and I can ask questions and send a video any time! I've never even felt limited in what I can do with my dog with Lynne around. The Basin can be less than pet friendly, but if I think my dog would enjoy agility or trials or tricks, she makes it happen for us. Sometimes you need a trainer to solve a problem and sometimes you need one to expand your horizons while strengthening the bond with your dog, and Lynne does both amazingly! Absolutely recommend! 🙌🫶

Lynne is phenomenal! We've adopted a wonderful dog from a shelter who has issues with trust, guarding, anxiety, attacking anyone who dares enter his home.... We love him, but this wasn't going well. Working with Lynne has greatly improved his behavior. She knows what to do and does a good job teaching us what to do. She is kind and understanding with the dog which we truly appreciate. She also has helped us to have a far more peaceful home life. Our dog (who truly only likes us) has grown to like her. He actually LIKES working for her, showing her he can do what she asks. With Lynne's guidance, we have been able to safely let people in our home again. Our dog will willingly approach visitors in an appropriate fashion and knows to be quiet about it. If you want a trainer who actually understands dogs and can help you and your dog have a happy life together, Lynne is perfect! She's also a sincerely kind person; it's never uncomfortable to have her around. Thank you, Lynne, for all you've done for us!

Lynn is amazing with dogs! I have learned so many skills from her. If there is something I want to teach my dog, she gives me pointers and tips to make it happen. She comes up with new things to challenge him at every lesson and I can tell he enjoys his training classes. I have the well behaved dog I always wanted and I'm comfortable taking him into most any situation. She really can make good dogs better.

We adopted a 4-year-old Airedale that was reactive and lunged at anyone or any animal that walked by our house. Thanks to Lynne, our dog has settled down, walks way better on a leash, and even has a couple of cat friends. We recommend Lynne to anyone who might have an issue, large or small.

Lynn is absolutely AMAZING! I would highly recommend her, she helped us with our 3 month old puppy. Working with her twice a month for 5 months and we've been so impressed with Lynn. She has given us the foundation to continue to train our puppy. Lynn is AWESOME! We loved her and so did our sweet pup!

Lynn is amazing at understanding canine behavior! She is kind and professional. She truly loves her clients, you see it in how she handles them. She helped us learn how to instill confidence in our one pup, and helped us effectively teach our other pup manners. If you have a dog that is struggling with behaviors, definitely reach out to her!

Great trainer! Has helped my dog become more confident and much better behaved in general. Great at pushing dogs out of their comfort zone to try new things without pushing them too far. The field trips out in public have been great for my German shepherd!

Lynne is hands down the best and most qualified dog trainer in the Uintah Basin. Not only is she incredibly knowledgeable, but she’s also one of the kindest and sweetest people I’ve ever met! Every single time, there’s a night and day difference in the dogs she works with. You can see the confidence and calm she brings out in them. I cannot recommend her enough!

Lynn has been amazing with helping my super nervous dog calm down and relax around people, she’s understanding and takes time to work with you as well as your dog, she sees all her customers as individuals and not just as a job. Lynn has been an amazing trainer. I have physical problems right now, and she has helped with my German shepherd so much and she is training him with a mini educator collar.She is absolutely amazing and gives 110 percent all the time!! I highly recommend her! You will not be disappointed you’ll be as impressed as I am.

After a horrible outing with my dog (jumping, pulling, and even losing a shoe), I sought out Lynn. The first thing I noticed was her willingness to listen and learn about my dog’s behaviors. I worked with her through private lessons and attended some group sessions for socialization. A year later I returned to the place where my journey began (the veterinarian checkup.) I can’t even begin to state what a difference this training meant for my relationship with my dog. I didn’t have to fight with him while driving to the office. I was able to sit in a chair and wait instead of fighting my dog every second. The vet was able to perform a more complete check up because he wasn’t jumping all over the place. I could have Tazz sit while I payed my bill, and I didn’t lose a shoe trying to get him out of the office. Is my dog perfect, no, but I do have the tools to work through trying situations and he is much more manageable. I can’t thank Lynn enough for the new relationship I am building with my dog.

Lynne was amazing help with our 1 year old pup! She went from chewing up everything and being so naughty to a well behaved loveable dog in just 6 sessions! We were so impressed with Lynne’s work, communication, and dedication!

I got my first dog last year. Never trained one before only had family dogs. I got the cutest little husky and she was so stubborn and was an absolute terrorizer. Chewed on everything, couldn’t potty train her, and would not listen. I called Lynne and a year later she is the best and sweetest dog I could’ve asked for and I could not have done it without Lynne. She was so great. She didn’t just come in and tra in my dog and give her to me. She trained me how to train my dog so that way when she wasn’t around I still knew what to do and how to keep her training going because if you’ve ever done it you know it never ends. However she is always available to message if you do have questions at any point when you don’t have a lesson scheduled if you do have any new problems or just questions about training. She always has responded, she has always checked in with me and she has been amazing to work with. I would highly recommend if you’re serious about having your new best friend become the best dog you could ask for, call Lynne.

I've tried many programs on the internet but my dog was so aggressive towards strangers she was difficult to even work safely. Lynn gave me the tools and techniques to handle my dog around people and cracked the secret to calming her aggression. You can stop reading and just call Lynn. She's well worth every penny.

We have worked with Lynne at Blazing Trails K9 Academy for multiple issues we have been having with our German Shepard. Lynne has been exceptional! Her knowledge is priceless. And she is so patient and kind. She has so much to offer from tools that are helpful, to different techniques to material to read and reference. She went above and beyond to help us. Her prices are amazing and even after we finished private sessions, she still checks in on us! She was always on time and jumped right into what we needed. She was wonderful to our whole family. I had a very traumatic experience happen to me a few years ago with an intruder entering my home. After that my whole life changed. I was scared in my own home all of the time. I always had to listen and make sure no one was breaking in again and felt trapped. I wanted a huge guard dog that would put me at ease and protect me and my family. My husband and I found a giant 9 week old German Shepherd Dog puppy that had strong protection lines and had to have him! From the moment we brought him home we noticed he was very suspicious of people and already showing aggressive behavior. We found the amazing Lynne from Blazing Trails K9 Academy and after just a few lessons we knew so much more about our dog and how to handle him. With Lynne’s guidance and support throughout all of these years we have an amazing guard dog who has eased my anxiety and helped me feel safe in my own home again! Lynne also helped us through a video call training session when introducing our dog to a new older rescue puppy as we no longer live in the same state. I was freaking out and so nervous I thought the dogs were going to hurt each other and that the new pup wasn’t going to work out, I reached out to Lynne and there she was! One video session and everything was worked out! I have never known someone that has so much passion and can honestly read a dogs mind like Lynne! She inspires me and I am so glad that I have her always to help when I need her, I wouldn’t trust anyone else with training my dogs!

Can't say enough about Lynn at BLAZING TRAILS K9 ACADEMY! We recently had some potentially dangerous behavior issues with our Great Dane/Mastiff. Our Vet referred us to BLAZING TRAILS K9, so we took a look at the website. We called hoping to get some 'One on One training', but found availability was rather limited. Lynn suggested a virtual session, at least to get started. We had a virtual session, and found it surprisingly effective. Lynn was able to help us understand the issues with our dogs, and how to read their behaviors and how to alter their interactions with us and each other. She did more to "train us how to train our dogs", and behaviors were improved with US in control. Changes made were more lifestyle changes than "Lessons". Our dogs showed tremendous improvement very quickly as we learned what was triggering their bad behavior and made simple interventions. I did an online consultation with Lynne via Messenger. She listened to my concerns - cared about my personal frustrations as well as caring for the needs of my dog. She gave me some practical advice and I hope to update this review after implementing them. The breed of my dog is very dominant and is showing signs of dominancy that need to be corrected. I would 100% recommend Lynne for your dog training needs.

Lynne helped me so much with my dogs that didn't always get along. The virtual classes were amazing! We did two in person classes to help with the progress. I thought I might have to remove one of my dogs. So thankful for finding an amazing trainer!

I am in awe at how in tune Lynne is with dogs. We got a dog from the Roosevelt shelter that was absolutely terrified of all human beings. I really felt like this would be something that he would get over after he got used to us. After nearly a year of frustration, with no progress whatsoever, I called the shelter to see if there were any professional trainers, or if I could just bring the dog back. They recommended Blazing Trails K9 Academy. Do to COVID-19, Lynne was unable to come see our dog in person, but she was able to do a video message through Facebook. Just through the phone, she was able to see everything about his personality. After following her advice, we were able to have him walking with us on a leash in less than 2 hours. Today, he even just started acting playful with me while we were running through the hay field. His personality around the kids and me has changed DRASTICALLY. We now have a dog that is happy and excited to see us. All of this just because of one video call that was incredibly cheap for the value we received from it. I am frustrated that I can't really put into words how much of a miracle worker I really think Lynne is. I guess I could say with this much progress after only one appointment with her, I think after 10 appointments I could possibly have my dog driving the farm equipment for me--especially if she could see the dog in person! :)

Lynne and Travis are amazing to train and work with. The attention to detail and the way they treat the dog as if it’s their own separates them from most all trainers. Lynne is always willing to listen and help in anyway without making you feel dumb for asking a question. If anyone ever needs a top notch trainer or decoy they are the ones you need!!

I hired Lynn to come to our house and care for my dogs while we were out of town for a week. She came in the morning and let them out, and again at night to put them inside, refill food and water, and make sure they were safe and secure. She went above and beyond my exercising then every day, teaching them awesome new tricks, and sending me adorable updated pictures that helped us know our furrbabies were being well taken care of.

My border collie Zuko (look him up on their Facebook page) is a new dog! Before puppy boot camp he would not hold still for more than a second or two. On day TWO of his training he did a long down stay, and on day three he ignored a cat as he held his down stay. Now I can send him to his place and he will stay there and ignore my two year old as she climbs all over him. I can’t recommend Blazing Trails highly enough. Lynne is a genius at her craft.

I think the best part of having Lynn as a trainer is that she cares about the dog and is willing to look for new solutions if something isn’t working. We finished all of our sessions and I can’t wait to get more!

Travis Bell Has been doing helper/decoy/trainer work for many years.Starting in 2009 with Der Hundesport Performance klub, a schutzhund club, then continuing when the club became Desert Winds dog association in 2013 a club geared more for family personnel protection. Travis has helped many dogs in protection training from puppies to competition dogs. His keen sense of reading dogs and working them accordingly and correctly helped them to reach their full Potential. I have used Travis on many occasions to work some of my clients personal protection dogs. He has been instrumental in getting the dogs to perform exactly as required. I have known Lynne for 20+ years. As well as many other accomplishments she has taken a German Shepherd dog that was rejected by experienced trainers as untrainable and not only trained it but titled him to an advanced level SchH3 IPO3. No small feat by any stretch of the imagination. Lynne has the knowledge to train dogs of all breeds large and small. She has successfully trained many dog owners to get their dogs to do things deemed impossible by themselves. She has also been very successful in many competitions in both UScA and WDA trials. Today marks the exact week mark that my dog has been in training with Lynne. It's an at home training and so far its been great! We are amazed at how well our great dane is handling and retaining what he is being taught. So far everything is amazing!

I have personally seen you take a, what seems like uncontrollable puppy to adult dog, and 20 minutes later it's like your watching it on professional dog show!! Outstanding work. You almost have a psychic bond with every dog you come across!! The people get trained too by one heck of a trainer!! I am so glad you are in the basin helping dogs of all shapes and sizes, working, hunting or pet!! I definitely give two thumbs up for Blazing Trails Academy!! 👍👍

Went to class with my dog who didn’t listen well to me. Left class with my dog who respects me and listen very well to commands, even under distraction. I’m amazed at how much we learned together!
