Fantastic! I live in Boise and trust me it is worth the drive. The knowledge Jake has is impressive. He tailors the training uniquely to your situation. I did both the individual and now group classes. I have a rescue Malinois and he excels in the working breed of dogs. I didn't think she would ever be able to participate in a group class because of her reactivity. She is doing so well, we are both gaining confidence! Highly encourage anyone who thinks their dog would never fit in and go meet him!

Our dog Bruno had a wonderful time. Lots of sitting in the sunshine for him. We have been to 2 other dog sitters and K9’s boarding is the best so far!

We started taking our German Shepherd puppy Layla to Fowler K9 academy last year when she was about 4 months old. We started private training with Jacob to learn the basics of how to train and socialize a puppy. We then did a three week board and train when she was around 6 months old. Jacob was so great on teaching us how to work with her and once she did the board and train Layla had a great foundation! We went on to intermediate classes and learned so much more! Layla is now a little over a year and has turned out to be such a confident well mannered girl. Our experiences with Jacob and crew have been nothing but positive and we loved going there. I am thinking we may do more training to advance Layla and our skills. Can’t say enough about Fowler K9 Academy and would highly recommend them to anyone with any type of training needs.

Jacob provided me with the necessary training tools to correct and redirect my interaction with Lexi. Our in-home training sessions had immediate positive results. Lexi and I continued training in a group setting and I was pleased with how far we have come. My belief is Jacob taught me to be a good leader and gave us a good foundation moving forward so I can give Lexi her best life.

Amazing transformation for our King Shepard. After about week 3 we really saw a massive difference in handling him. My wife use to not be able to walk him at all because he would pull and knock her down and now he goes alone on walks with her and I take him out and about all the time with me now, which that was our main goals for training. I’d highly recommend taking your dog to Fowler K9. They have an amazing training center and awesome programs for all your dogs needs.

Honestly, it felt like less “dog training” and more “people training” — we learned so much about being clear and consistent in how we interact with our dog. The results have been amazing. Our dog absolutely loved coming to class and was not the least bit apprehensive when we dropped him off for boarding. My girl, Holani, had great success after training with Jacob and Karli at Fowler K9. I had a terrible experience with another trainer prior to going to Fowler (the first time I used a board and train) and, after 3 1/2 months away, my puppy came back further behind than when she left and had some behavioral issues. We decided the best route would be a block of private sessions followed by a group class, and it worked out perfectly! She bounced back extremely quickly and ended at the top of her class. They were both great about working with me to adapt various training techniques to fit the different types of competitions I do with her which made the sessions that much more valuable. Holani is currently 16 months, has a couple of AKC titles to her name, and continues to work toward more advanced levels of competition and therapy dog work which would have been difficult without the help of Fowler K9 Academy to get her back to her normal self and restore her basic obedience/focus. I've been to several trainers throughout the years and found their mix of positive but firm training to be the best so far. I highly recommend their classes and have since referred friends of mine to them as well.

Go to this dog trainer! I am a first time dog owner and I went all in on my breed (German Shepherd boxer) and I was literally beside myself with my dog, he was out of control, didn't listen to commands and didn't listen in general which led him to getting seriously hurt. Jacob saved my sanity and my relationship with my dog. He's straight forward, knowledgeable, and has lots of resources. My dog went from taking off as soon as the door opened to I can take multiple trips to my car with the door open and my dog won't move from his spot as one example, and his recal went from 0% to about 90% of the time (i have a reactive dog). He gave me confidence and in return gave my dog confidence because I knew what to do and how to do it. It was worth every cent I spent. I did a private lesson program, puppy training and intermediate dog training.

I adopted a rescue who was like the Tasmania devil. I did the 8 sessions with Jacob and he is wonderful. I can say I needed as much training as my dog and he was very patient with us. I can walk my dog easily and I feel I have complete control of him. Highly recommend Jacob

Jacob trained me just as much as he trained Hawthorne. Working with Jacob has been a life-changing experience. My dog Hawthorne struggles with reactivity, and after a tough adjustment after moving, it escalated into a nasty fight between both my dogs. My vet recommended Jacob, so I started with private training sessions because Hawthorne couldn’t be in a group setting. We made significant progress on his obedience, and Jacob gave us tools to manage the reactivity. After completing 8 sessions, we decided to advance to the intermediate group class. This was as tough for me as it was for Hawthorne, but Jacob assured me Hawthorne was ready. Despite the challenges, Hawthorne successfully completed the intermediate class, and we’re nearly complete with the advanced class. Currently, we are preparing for the Obedience Trial in October, something I never thought would be possible. Since training, Hawthorne’s confidence has improved, and our bond has strengthened. While we still have work to do, we can actually pass dogs on the street without Hawthorne losing his mind! That was my number one goal with training. I am so grateful to Jacob and his community. Everyone has been so kind, patient, and understanding. Being an owner of a reactive dog can come with public judgement, and everyone has been so welcoming. Working with Jacob has helped me heal a lot of anxieties as a reactive dog handler, and I am much more confident now. Thank you Jacob for everything!

I’ve been going to Jacob since he has started back in 2018. With his knowledge and experience he helped me train two of my gsds for personal protection then they became certified through his program. Then we took our training to the next level and my oldest boy Nash became titled in the WDA. Then last year I went to Jacob seeking to import a pup from the Czech Republic. One of the best decisions I’ve ever made. Not only was the process of importing completely flawless and smooth but my girl has been a dream come true. She is now my 3rd pup that I’m working on for personal protection. She has been here in America for almost a year now. She’s gone through his puppy class, intermediate obedience, while every weekend since she’s been here you’ll find us training with him for her personal protection work that will eventually lead us to later getting our titles in the WDA. Jacob comes highly highly recommended. If my dedication doesn’t speak for itself then I don’t know what else to say. He is the best trainer in the treasure valley as far as I’m concerned.

I did 6 weeks of private training with Jacob, and my experience was great! I have a German Shepherd/Husky mix, and we worked on building her confidence/adjusting her reactive behaviors. Not only did my dog learn, but it was just as much a lesson for me! I still do training drills Jacob taught me to this day, and it’s been almost a year since I last saw him. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for individualized help with their pup! If I were closer to Middleton or had more availability in my schedule, I would definitely book again with him today.

Jacob at Fowler did wonders for our Pitbull puppy Journey. She started with the puppy obedience class graduated from that and then went on to intermediate. Journey started out as more then we could handle and we were about to give up. She since has graduated from intermediate. We are going to continue on with private lessons at our home. There are so many people that claim to be dog trainers. Jacob is the best. Humble, smart, always learning and growing. The most important thing is teaching how dogs are motivated and how to give them the best life.possible. They are here for such a short time. If you are having challenges with behavior or just want to give your dog the freedom to be a dog with confidence for yourself and your dog Jacob will help you and best of all your relationship with your dog will be based on trust and respect. I cannot say enough good things about the experience I had with Jacob in the dog training classes I did with them, in fact I was impressed enough with the Basic class I did the Advance as well. They don’t teach the fear factor with the dog, they use high rewards, positivity, and reputation. When you’re in their class, you have Jacobs attention and feedback the entire class. I would recommend anyone to attend one of their classes whether you’re a long time dog owner or a first time dog owner.

We have done three classes with Jacob, Private lessons, beginner obedience and intermediate obedience along with protection work. He has been outstanding with his instructions and expectations. I trained with my lab from Basic to Advanced and when I got my newest puppy we jumped right back in to do it over again! I wouldn’t go anywhere else, great experience, better training, for all handling levels.

We had a four-month-old Female Rottweiler and worked with Karlie in Private Obedience lessons. She is not only competent but also very responsive outside our training times. Dedicated to her work and puppies, it was not just training for our puppy but for us as owners first. Our puppy passed the training at 97% and now sits, goes down, and heals. She stays in place, comes when called, and understands to leave it. We hope to attend a group class for intermediate skills in the fall. We love the method and execution that Fowler K9 Academy practices and highly recommend them.

We took our 9 month old pitbull in for an assessment and within 5 minutes my dog was behaving completely different. They are so helpful and we feel blessed. Jacob and Karli are beyond amazing! We have 2 tiny schnauzers that are “overly excited” to see people/dogs, we are so anxious to take them anywhere because of it. They gave us recommendations for our dogs and explained what would be the best path for them. Their communication and knowledge is amazing. Overall, they go above and beyond on what they do. Jacob had showed us how to correct our dogs every time we meet them and that immediately worked very effectively on them. He also took them in for boarding when we were away for a surgery. Karli is our main trainer and see her every Saturday. She gave us all the run down how to fix issues and what to do in situations, also the dogs learned fundamentals of obedience. Our last day of training with Karli was amazing, we were able to test out all our training in public and it was amazing to watch our dogs progress. A busy Saturday - a lot of destructions around and 2 calm schnauzers was something we’ve never seen before. We are so proud of how everything went. We thank Fowler K9 for taking them in and helping us out. We learned so much throughout the process and have been recommending the training to all our friends.

We begin first day of group training, with our puppies, and are enthusiastic to practice what we learned during our previous class, which was an orientation without our dogs. Instructor Fowler has great reputation and resume for a dog trainer. His location is easy to find, off the Main road through Middleton, near the Police Station.

I reached out to Jacob in 2022 for help with an extremely fearful and anxious Cane Corso. I will forever be grateful. Without any judgment, he helped me understand what was behind the fear and built up our confidence with simple basic obedience. I have since taken a puppy through his basic puppy class and intermediate class taught by Karli. They are a wonderful team. Their approach to dog training is straightforward and uncomplicated. They are both educators helping each dog owner understand the why behind each step.

Jacob is a fantastic dog trainer as well as a great people person which in my view makes the optimal trainer. Not only do you have to train the dog but mainly you have to train the owner/handler. He has the patience of a saint and understands that reality sometimes gets in the way. I absolutely recommended him for all sorts of dogs and breeds.

The beginners course was great! My wife and I enjoyed learning how we could be better trainers in order to properly guide our dog. Each week we learned new basics during class and then implemented them throughout the week with our dog. It's amazing what our dog does now in comparison to when she started. The instructor is straight forward and is realistic in his training techniques which we really enjoyed because he has a great understanding of each dog as an individual.

Pretty sure we will never be able to thank Jacob (and Blue Line K9) for everything he has taught us about how to train our dog, Malcolm. All three of us are much improved because of the experience! Jacob is willing to help you in all ways you ask, and if you listen and put it into practice, you very quickly have a happy, obedient, well trained dog. Jacob is one of the best! He knows dogs on every level. Don't think that if you don't have a German Shepard you cannot attend his training. I am convinced after attending his classes he could train a Chihuahua, that's right I said a Chihuahua! The biggest part of dog training that I took away from his class is, how much confidence and consistency the handler has and how it affects the dogs ability and drive to learn. He has the ability to understand the dog, but at the same time watch you (handler) and let you know what you're doing that maybe affecting the dog's overall performance on getting the training. Again, he is patient, understanding, and confident in his ability to train dogs. He is not the "Pet Smart" dog trainer who has no experience, this dude knows whats-up.

Fowler K9 academy was really patient. Would stay after class and help every class he would stay and help someone. He helped bear tremendously. Sometimes bear had his own agenda but he would give me pointers on how I could help him. Thank you again Fowler K9 academy. I would continue to train with him as time permits.

It's been about 3yrs since we had the privilege of Jacob help us train our German Shepherd. I cant express enough how well behaved our dog is both at home and in public. Thanks to the training Fowler K9 Academy brought to us, im not afraid to take our dog anywhere. Fowler K9 Academy's knowledge and experience really shows in their training abilities. We recently rescued a Belgian Malinois who is 3yrs old and we are already signed up for Fowler K9 Academy's next training class. If you have any doubts about this school, DONT! You won't be disappointed.

We have 4 dogs, only one of which had formal training, and it was pure insanity at our house. We decided to bring our youngest to Jacob to try to set an example. All the work my “marshmallow” Olaf had to put in really helped! We had homework every week which turned into our other dogs having to watch (and sometimes learn). Being a typical Pyrenees he’s stubborn but with a little push he became a different dog! Even our high strung Vizsla learned some new things (though she’s next to get the full classes). All in all this was some of the best money well spent! Can’t wait to bring my vizsla and any future pups!

I’m not a new dog owner, but I’m new to training. What I appreciate about Jacob is that he clearly cares and wants us to succeed. He’s generous with his time and his experience. If this is your first dog and you’re interested in personal protection, start early. I started late with a good citizen, but Jacob was honest with me and worked hard to help her advance. Blue Line K9 is amazing! Jacob has now worked with all three of our dogs on different levels (GSD for basic obedience and our Mal and Dutchie on scent training). Our Dutchie is a very 'hard dog' who is highly reactive to other dogs but Jacob knew exactly how to handle him and get him to focus. We just wrapped up 6 private scent detection lessons with him and I'm blown away at how well our Mal and Dutchie progressed. Jacob helped increase their desire to work in the beginning and took us through the process from beginning to end with a lot of patience and encouragement. I learned a ton and the dogs have found something they get truly excited to work for. I can't say enough good things about Jacob and would highly recommend Blue Line in the Boise area. I would even travel to work with Jacob if needed!

I used this place due to word of mouth advertising and it exceeded all my expectations. The training is well planned, carefully explained and then set into motion to make the work a success. I took my young rottweiler puppy here and he's become such a much better dog now with his training. I'm already signed up for further training here and can't wait to be able to continue the education for my pup and myself.

Very hands on training. I love that he teaches you to train your own dog. He explains why he trains the way he does, he tells you how, & what else to do if one route doesn’t work for your dog. Jacob at Fowler did wonders for our Pitbull puppy Journey. She started with the puppy obedience class graduated from that and then went on to intermediate. Journey started out as more then we could handle and we were about to give up. She since has graduated from intermediate. We are going to continue on with private lessons at our home. I cannot say enough good things about the experience I had with Jacob in the dog training classes I did with them, in fact I was impressed enough with the Basic class I did the Advance as well. They don’t teach the fear factor with the dog, they use high rewards, positivity, and reputation. When you’re in their class, you have Jacobs attention and feedback the entire class. I would recommend anyone to attend one of their classes whether you’re a long time dog owner or a first time dog owner.

We had a four-month-old Female Rottweiler and worked with Karlie in Private Obedience lessons. She is not only competent but also very responsive outside our training times. Dedicated to her work and puppies, it was not just training for our puppy but for us as owners first. Our puppy passed the training at 97% and now sits, goes down, and heals. She stays in place, comes when called, and understands to leave it. We hope to attend a group class for intermediate skills in the fall. We love the method and execution that Fowler K9 Academy practices and highly recommend them.

We took our 9 month old pitbull in for an assessment and within 5 minutes my dog was behaving completely different. They are so helpful and we feel blessed. Jacob and Karli are beyond amazing! We have 2 tiny schnauzers that are “overly excited” to see people/dogs, we are so anxious to take them anywhere because of it. They gave us recommendations for our dogs and explained what would be the best path for them. Their communication and knowledge is amazing. Overall, they go above and beyond on what they do. Jacob had showed us how to correct our dogs every time we meet them and that immediately worked very effectively on them. He also took them in for boarding when we were away for a surgery. Karli is our main trainer and see her every Saturday. She gave us all the run down how to fix issues and what to do in situations, also the dogs learned fundamentals of obedience. Our last day of training with Karli was amazing, we were able to test out all our training in public and it was amazing to watch our dogs progress. A busy Saturday - a lot of destructions around and 2 calm schnauzers was something we’ve never seen before. We are so proud of how everything went. We thank Fowler K9 for taking them in and helping us out. We learned so much throughout the process and have been recommending the training to all our friends.

We begin first day of group training, with our puppies, and are enthusiastic to practice what we learned during our previous class, which was an orientation without our dogs. Instructor Fowler has great reputation and resume for a dog trainer. His location is easy to find, off the Main road through Middleton, near the Police Station.

I reached out to Jacob in 2022 for help with an extremely fearful and anxious Cane Corso. I will forever be grateful. Without any judgment, he helped me understand what was behind the fear and built up our confidence with simple basic obedience. I have since taken a puppy through his basic puppy class and intermediate class taught by Karli. They are a wonderful team. Their approach to dog training is straightforward and uncomplicated. They are both educators helping each dog owner understand the why behind each step.

Jacob is a fantastic dog trainer as well as a great people person which in my view makes the optimal trainer. Not only do you have to train the dog but mainly you have to train the owner/handler. He has the patience of a saint and understands that reality sometimes gets in the way. I absolutely recommended him for all sorts of dogs and breeds.

The beginners course was great! My wife and I enjoyed learning how we could be better trainers in order to properly guide our dog. Each week we learned new basics during class and then implemented them throughout the week with our dog. It's amazing what our dog does now in comparison to when she started. The instructor is straight forward and is realistic in his training techniques which we really enjoyed because he has a great understanding of each dog as an individual.

Pretty sure we will never be able to thank Jacob (and Blue Line K9) for everything he has taught us about how to train our dog, Malcolm. All three of us are much improved because of the experience! Jacob is willing to help you in all ways you ask, and if you listen and put it into practice, you very quickly have a happy, obedient, well trained dog. Jacob is one of the best! He knows dogs on every level. Don't think that if you don't have a German Shepard you cannot attend his training. I am convinced after attending his classes he could train a Chihuahua, that's right I said a Chihuahua! The biggest part of dog training that I took away from his class is, how much confidence and consistency the handler has and how it affects the dogs ability and drive to learn. He has the ability to understand the dog, but at the same time watch you (handler) and let you know what you're doing that maybe affecting the dog's overall performance on getting the training. Again, he is patient, understanding, and confident in his ability to train dogs. He is not the "Pet Smart" dog trainer who has no experience, this dude knows whats-up.

Fowler K9 academy was really patient. Would stay after class and help every class he would stay and help someone. He helped bear tremendously. Sometimes bear had his own agenda but he would give me pointers on how I could help him. Thank you again Fowler K9 academy. I would continue to train with him as time permits.

It's been about 3yrs since we had the privilege of Jacob help us train our German Shepherd. I cant express enough how well behaved our dog is both at home and in public. Thanks to the training Fowler K9 Academy brought to us, im not afraid to take our dog anywhere. Fowler K9 Academy's knowledge and experience really shows in their training abilities. We recently rescued a Belgian Malinois who is 3yrs old and we are already signed up for Fowler K9 Academy's next training class. If you have any doubts about this school, DONT! You won't be disappointed.

We have 4 dogs, only one of which had formal training, and it was pure insanity at our house. We decided to bring our youngest to Jacob to try to set an example. All the work my “marshmallow” Olaf had to put in really helped! We had homework every week which turned into our other dogs having to watch (and sometimes learn). Being a typical Pyrenees he’s stubborn but with a little push he became a different dog! Even our high strung Vizsla learned some new things (though she’s next to get the full classes). All in all this was some of the best money well spent! Can’t wait to bring my vizsla and any future pups!

I’m not a new dog owner, but I’m new to training. What I appreciate about Jacob is that he clearly cares and wants us to succeed. He’s generous with his time and his experience. If this is your first dog and you’re interested in personal protection, start early. I started late with a good citizen, but Jacob was honest with me and worked hard to help her advance. He clearly cares about his students and their dogs and does everything to bring out the best in them… AND he has integrity. I would recommend Blue Line K9 to anyone who asks.

Blue Line K9 is amazing! Jacob has now worked with all three of our dogs on different levels (GSD for basic obedience and our Mal and Dutchie on scent training). Our Dutchie is a very 'hard dog' who is highly reactive to other dogs but Jacob knew exactly how to handle him and get him to focus. We just wrapped up 6 private scent detection lessons with him and I'm blown away at how well our Mal and Dutchie progressed. Jacob helped increase their desire to work in the beginning and took us through the process from beginning to end with a lot of patience and encouragement. I learned a ton and the dogs have found something they get truly excited to work for. I can't say enough good things about Jacob and would highly recommend Blue Line in the Boise area. I would even travel to work with Jacob if needed!

I used this place due to word of mouth advertising and it exceeded all my expectations. The training is well planned, carefully explained and then set into motion to make the work a success. I took my young rottweiler puppy here and he's become such a much better dog now with his training. I'm already signed up for further training here and can't wait to be able to continue the education for my pup and myself.

Very hands on training. I love that he teaches you to train your own dog. He explains why he trains the way he does, he tells you how, & what else to do if one route doesn’t work for your dog.
