We cannot thank Chris and Cosmo K9 enough for helping our family. We brought them a very difficult situation: our 8-year-old corgi, Rexy, was struggling badly after we brought home our Akita puppy, Ryu. The stress and fights became so severe that both dogs ended up at the vet hospital after Rexy started attacking Ryu in what had previously been his “only dog” space. Our house was literally separated by gates, and we were living in constant stress trying to keep everyone safe. Honestly, we were terrified we might have to rehome Ryu. Sophie worked with Ryu on puppy obedience and handling the strong-willed personality Akitas are known for, while Chris worked with Rexy on the behavioral side and helping him tolerate and coexist with the new puppy. They did two weeks of training followed by a week of boarding together so the dogs could continue adjusting to each other in a structured environment. The communication throughout the process was amazing. We received frequent updates, pictures, and videos, and it was obvious they truly cared about the dogs and understood the emotional toll this situation had taken on us. The difference since coming home has been huge. Ryu is far more controllable and much less reactive around other dogs, and Rexy is now able to tolerate and coexist with him peacefully. Our dogs are now respectful of each other’s space, and our home no longer feels divided and chaotic. What we especially appreciated is that they were realistic about the fact that training does not end when the dogs come home. They gave us the tools and guidance to continue the work ourselves, which we have been committed to doing. If you are dealing with serious behavioral stress between dogs, or even feeling hopeless like we were, we genuinely recommend Cosmo K9.

I can’t say enough wonderful things about Cosmo K9 Obedience Training and Chris! Before training, my dog was controlling our household. She was very strong-willed, difficult to walk, and had developed aggression toward our other dog, making everyday life stressful. I was worried we would never be able to trust her behavior. After working with Chris, the transformation has been nothing short of amazing. My dog is now calm, obedient, and a pleasure to be around. I can walk her confidently without any pulling or problems, she listens to all of her commands, and the aggression toward our other dog has improved dramatically. Our home is so much more peaceful, and I finally feel like I have a happy, well-behaved companion. Chris is incredibly knowledgeable, patient, informative and genuinely cares about the success of both the dogs and their owners. He gave us the tools and confidence to continue reinforcing everything our dog learned at home. If you’re considering dog training, I wholeheartedly recommend Cosmo K9 Obedience Training. My puppy Willow could not have received a better trainer in my opinion! Michelle was absolutely wonderful as a trainer and person! Her communication skills are exceptional and she broke down the training points and made me feel like I was a part of the process. She shared pictures and videos on social media and it was so exciting to watch Willow grow and see the respect she showed for Michelle, and the love as well. Willow turned 5 months old during the course, however even with her puppy brain at times, she came out with so much core training knowledge, and my job is to keep it up. I believe that the 2 week program is key for developing their skills, and helping them to be the best dogs possible! The love that Michelle showed for Willow made my heart happy, and I knew right away that Willow was in the best possible hands. Willow learned so much and got to experience so much as well! Extremely happy with Michelle, Cosmo K9 and especially Willow for her successes. At pick up, Michelle was on the ground playing with Willow, and it was the sweetest! She cared for Willow as if she were her own, and I couldn’t ask for more than that.

Our young dog came back with a settled calmness which was refreshing. Chris and Sophia worked nicely with him and helped him gain confidence as well as reinforce some great skills and habits. I really appreciate how well-structured and professional they have been, and plan to keep sending our pup there for boarding and/or board and train when we travel! Highly recommended!

We took Rex (8 yr old Corgi) to Cosmo for board and train. We needed help with leash manners and reactivity to people, cars, other dogs, loud noise..even birds! He came home a completely new dog! Michelle helped us understand what Rex was trying to tell us and how to respond in a different way. She was able to set the groundwork then teach us “why” and how to continue to support him. It’s such a joy to be able to take Rex out in the world now without the stress and anxiety! I highly recommend Cosmo for anyone who needs some help with your fur baby (and YOU)! You won’t regret it!

Cosmo K9 is truly incredible. Chris and his team genuinely care about every dog they work with, and it shows in everything they do. We have a reactive German Shepherd we adopted from the Humane Society, and from the very beginning he built a strong sense of trust with Chris from his first boarding stay to now. We also enrolled him in the behavioral board-and-train program, and the transformation has been amazing. Chris didn’t just help our dog. He helped us understand him, his triggers, and how to support him. Thanks to their guidance, we’ve seen huge progress in his reactivity. We can now walk him near other dogs and confidently introduce him to new people, which once felt impossible.

Cosmo K9 Obedience: The Perfect Boarding Spot for my Golden Doodles! I recently boarded my two golden doodles at Cosmo K9 Obedience, and we couldn’t be happier with the experience! The staff was incredibly welcoming and took the time to get to know our pups, making us feel confident they were in great hands. The facility is clean and spacious, with plenty of room for playtime and socialization. I loved getting daily updates and photos of our doodles having a blast! Not only did they enjoy their stay, but they also came home with improved manners thanks to the staff’s training focus. If you’re looking for a caring and fun environment for your furry friends, Cosmo K9 Obedience is the place to go!!

Cannot share enough about how much I recommend Cosmo K9 Obedience. My dog was with their trainer, Sophia, for 2 weeks working on her commands and confidence as well. We got her back yesterday and I have been super impressed with everything she has learned. She greets people with less fear, has more confidence, and understands her boundaries and commands. This is HUGE for us as when we first got her she was more fearful of people (specifically men) and struggled with her confidence as well as listening. She is only 5 months old so I am super excited to see how she will continue to progress. If you are thinking about signing your dog up for training, this is the place to go!! They are very communicative and give you a full rundown of what your pup has learned after it’s all said and done, as well as check ins while they are gone. We are so excited to have 3 more training sessions with them as our dog gets older! Thank you to this entire team and Sophia for all of your hard work! It does not go unnoticed!

I’m going to start this review from the beginning! I looked up on yelp board and train places and found Cosmo K9 and gave Chris a call. He not only immediately took my call but then sat on the phone with my partner and I explaining everything! He weighed all the pros and cons of each of his programs and didn’t try to sell us on the most expensive program but the program that would best suit what we were looking to do. He also provided me with his instagram which at the time he was training a dog just like our puppies which really helped me see and trust his experience with our working breed but also the original Velcro puppy (GSP’s) after about an hour of talking we felt confident this was the training company for us! He assigned us a trainer who was local to us in Oceanside and shout out to Michelle! She is fantastic! After doing all the financial logistics we got assigned our two weeks and trainer Michelle. Michelle is fantastic she not only went out of her way to really communicate with us after drop off. It was very emotionally difficult for me to leave my pups with someone I didn’t know. Michelle sent lots of photos and in the report cards we were given gave such feedback into how they were doing and what they have been working on and what each of them was excelling at! After the two weeks and we got to pick up we got a very in depth 1:1 that we were able record so we can refer back to. We also are given a few follows up when we need them as well! This has been fantastic! My puppies were crazy unruly and out of control we picked up puppies but more well behaved, receptive to commands and less crazy! I can’t wait to see how they do as we continue their progress and stick to the tools and commands we were given! Thank you again Chris and Michelle! We couldn’t have gotten to this point with out you!

We are extremely thankful for Michelle and the incredible work she has done with our dog Valentine. Her dedication and patience have made such a difference and we are already seeing so much progress. We truly appreciate her commitment and care.

Always a fun trip for our young girl Rocky the Rhodesian. She’s a handful but thanks to Sophia Michelle and Chris at cosmo k9 she’s turning into a real beaut! Updated daily with photos of our girls adventures. They even let us take up room in their freezer for our babies frozen food. Always above and beyond from this crew. Highly recommend

We boarded our 7-month-old English Lab with CosmoK9 for 2 weeks, and it was a game-changer! Our lab was out of control, pulling us on walks, jumping on people/dogs, and biting when ignored. But Chris worked his magic, teaching our lab self-control and obedience. Now, we can take him places without too much worry. Highly recommend Chris and his team. I have such a wonderful experience with Christopher training my dog Chlóe , she is in the most amazing behavior, Not jumping or barking on people, stay still when she’s supposed to, Very gentle with my Kiddos or parents on the Daycare when she passed by, Even when we go for a walk, she won’t bark to other dogs , Thank you so much Christopher, I will definitely recommend it 100% his service

Took our boy oreo for training. Had some incidents with him in regards to his brother. He was an adopted dog, had alot of trauma, but this was no match for the amazing trainers at cosmo K9. My boy oreo came back we'll trained. Thank you to chris, and sophia for all the hard work and hours they put in on my boy oreo. THANK YOU. EVERYONE dont hesitate on cosmo k9 I highly recommend them.

Pretty amazing transformation in our 8 month old puppy. She did the 2 week boarding training and came back completely changed and incredibly well behaved. Major issue was jumping on people and that completely stopped. Couldn’t imagine being able to walk next to me on a leash and she’s doing that too! Got updates with videos every couple days.

My dog listens to commands better, doesn’t pull on walks, and is more obedient in general.

Boarded our two girls for thanksgiving week. Came home happy and healthy. Good people, good customer service.

This was my first time ever sending one of my dogs to a board & train, and I couldn't be happier with the experience! ​I own a 4-year-old Belgian Malinois who became very dog-reactive after being attacked two years ago. Taking him on runs, walks, or trips became extremely stressful because he would react to any dog in sight. I wanted professional help, but finding someone I could truly trust with my dog was tough—until I found CosmoK9. ​From our very first phone call, Chris made me feel completely at ease. My dog Logan went to their two-week behavior class, and he came back a completely new dog! Before training, Logan struggled with walking on a leash, following simple commands, and lacked a lot of confidence. When I went to pick him up, I immediately noticed a difference as we were walking up to get him. He stayed exactly where the trainer had placed him the entire time we were talking, and I was honestly amazed! The progress he made in just two weeks has been incredible. I’m so happy with the results and so grateful for the patience, time, and effort they put into helping Logan. Chris did an amazing job training my dog, Fig! Before training, Fig would jump on people, pull constantly on the leash, and become anxious around other dogs. He came back like a completely different dog - in the best way. He’s calmer, more confident, and so much easier to walk and manage. Chris was knowledgeable, patient, and clearly put a lot of care into Fig’s training. The difference has been incredible, and I’m so grateful. I highly recommend Cosmo K9 Obedience!

We first discovered Cosmo K9 Obedience through a simple Google search while looking for a place we could trust with our two pups during our travels. We initially scheduled a standard meet-and-greet because our youngest, a Giant Schnauzer, struggles with anxiety, separation issues, and isn’t very social. When we left for our 9-day vacation, we were pleasantly surprised to hear that by day one, he was already starting to adjust. Even more incredible was that by day four, he was socializing with other dogs, going on hikes, and had grown comfortable with the staff. It was truly astonishing to see how quickly he adapted, as if he had known them all along. The team kept us at ease by providing daily updates and photos, which we greatly appreciated. When we picked them up, both of our dogs had clearly bonded with Chris and behaved like they had known him forever.
