Carly is a knowledgeable, kind, organized, insightful and effective trainer! My husband and I have 4 dogs. A 10 yr old terrier mix, a 3 yr old pit mix, and 2 littermate mini Aussies that are now 2 yrs old. While we both have had dogs most of our lives, neither of us has ever had 4 at once. Needless to say, while our boys love each other, we have had some concerning behavior issues. Carly was recommended by our vet. OMG! She is AMAZING! She is very responsive. She asks for very detailed information about your dog(s). It took a bit to complete the forms, but it was so worth it! We started with a virtual visit, then went to in-home visits, because that worked best for us. It was obvious that Carly had read and reviewed all the forms thoroughly. She came with notes on items she either needed clarified or were of concern to her. And adjusted a training plan based on getting to know us and our boys. Our dogs love her! She is extremely knowledgeable, observant, and truly cares about the dogs - and their humans! We were afraid we might have to find another home for one or more dogs. But Carly taught us some strategies, practiced with us, and left review notes so we could continue working between sessions. The strategies she taught us were basic and things we could easily continue and master! We have worked through behavior issues, stranger issues, sibling rivalry, guarding behavior, anxiety issues, impulsiveness, and basic obedience. I can't say enough how much Carly has helped us! Additionally, we have taken some of her group training courses. We hope to take more this summer! If you are looking for a trainer who is extremely knowledgeable, kind, really understands dogs, relates well with people and dogs, and is highly effective, we wholeheartedly recommend Carly Davis at CHQdogs!

Carly is amazing and so knowledgeable: she obviously LOVES what she does! We attended the Manners 1 class with our puppy Charlie in Spring 2022. The class sizes are small and very personalized, and we were so impressed with the electronic handouts each week. They contain so much good information from Carly that it's like getting another class or two between the classes if you use them properly. Her research and presentation is top-notch, she is kind and understanding of everyone's dog, and she's so organized and professional. Highly recommend!

Carly was very helpful with both of our dogs. We loved that she uses 100% positive reinforcement for all training. She's professional, organized, and has a wealth of dog knowledge. She helped us understand our dogs better and worked with us on their reactive behavior. She's committed to helping your dogs have a better life. Carly is wonderful!!! She is working with our pup who is a bit of a challenge. Elias is 5 years old and has lots of anxiety that comes out as aggression. Carly is very mindful of what he is experiencing and is very intuitive in helping him see the world differently. When we watched a video of his most recent session, we could barely believe that was the same dog she started with 4 sessions ago. Amazing! We have gone from hopeless to hopeful!

Carly's classes are enjoyable for humans as well as their dogs. Everything about her teaching sets the dog/person team up for success, within an environment that feels safe and secure. I appreciate the depths of her knowledge, the thoughtfulness with which she teaches, and the commitment she has to helping dogs become their best selves. We are extremely fortunate to have someone of this calibre available to us in Chautauqua County.

Carly is amazing! Her virtual training was awesome and filled with great insight and helpful exercises. We wanted to make sure that our puppy Stella, developed good habits, and thanks to chqdogs, her crate training, potty training, leash training, and more have been progressing smoothly! We were worried that, due to quarantine, Stella might miss out on some essential training, but thanks to Carly's great virtual training sessions, that is no longer a concern!

Carly has been great! We have really appreciated her suggestions and how patient and kind she has been with our dog. She always seems to have reasonable and effective solutions for the issues we bring up.

We did one session with Carly and our German shepard puppy and what a difference it made! She taught us how to teach our dog. Carly has such a calm and gentle presence and is perfect for training your dog!

Carly took the time to learn my Bulldog's quirks, and through one on one sessions, helped us learn skills specific to why we sought her out. After each session we went home with a few things to practice regularly, as well as ideas on how to keep a bored puppy stimulated. We then attended group manners sessions where the dogs (all around 1yr) and owners learned various manners skills while socializing them from a distance. Each dog had their own unique personality and Carly ensured owners and dogs were comfortable in their environment, making adjustments as needed. Carly focused on positive reinforcement, using yes commands instead of no. This has been a game changer for us and has greatly helped shape his behavior. I highly recommend CHQDogs and Carly for her flexible scheduling, location accommodations (at home, virtual, 1:1 at CHQDogs, or group), and the use of positive reinforcement training!

Carly is amazing! She has taught my puppy so many things and has given me a ton of knowledge of how to continue to train her, reading her body language, and how to prevent bad situations between my dogs and myself when feeding. This is all in just 2 sessions. After coming out of a bad training experience with a dominance trainer she is exactly what we needed to get my girl on track

Carly is patient, knowledgable, professional and was super helpful as I transitioned into owning a 2yr old rescue. She provides great feedback and follows up to make sure training is going smoothly at home. She clearly has a heart for helping humans and their dogs to bond through positive training practices.

Carly has been so patient with us and our pup, Jackson, who suffers from really significant allergies and is very anxious and reactive. We are grateful that Carly has taken the time to get to know Jackson and has guided us in taking steps to make sure that we can figure out the root of Jackson's problems. Carly is the first trainer that we have worked with that has actually cared about Jackson as a whole, rather than just his "behavior issues." She is very thorough with her evaluations and is thoughtful when giving us training exercises. Jackson has so much fun with all of the new "games" he has learned at training and is always excited to go to "school," which is a huge step for him! We've also been working on muzzle training and the resources Carly provided us with for that have been so helpful - Jackson gets so happy when he sees his muzzle & knows that it's a positive thing!! We are so excited to keep working with her and see what she can do for us and our pup once we are able to get his allergies under control.

Carly does whatever it takes to get results while maintaining a fantastic ethical code. She was highly accommodating during remote classes and in-person. Carly puts the dogs health, both mental and physical, as a priority and it does wonders for the training and the relationship between the students and the furry students.

Beasley is the first puppy we have had in 15 years and we really wanted to make sure he is polite and well mannered. Carly and CHQ Dogs are awesome. Carly is patient teacher and gives clear direction and easy to follow homework. Beasley is well on his way to being a well rounded, nicely mannered pup.

Carly is so very observant, patient and cheerful. She has helped me understand my dog so much better, and so we have a much more positive, affectionate relationship.

We recently had our first session with Carly at CHQDogs and immediately scheduled another. We contacted CHQDogs for some help leash training our very enthusiastic 3 1/2 year old Carolina Dog who also likes to jump to greet people. In just our first session, Carly showed her skill and professionalism in working with both dogs and owners to foster good behavior in positive ways. We've already seen improvement in Hobbes as we've put what we've learned so far into practice. I highly recommend CHQDogs!

I first met Carly through NCCR where I adopted my first rescue. I swore my rescue was crazy, nipping at my ankles, jumping on everything/everyone and lets not forget the zoomies! Her training, attention to detail and homework assignments to practice what we learned were a godsend! We even worked with her dog Brimstone. Fast forward 5 years later to NOW, we reconnected after an unfavorable doggy daycare incident. I wanted my dog evaluated ASAP to make sure he was unaffected by his experience. Her professionalism was just as I remembered it! Eager to help and also concerned about his overall health/happiness. If you are looking for someone who is knowledgeable, empathetic, consistent, educated to include on going coursework to stay current on changes in the dog behaviors look no further! I wouldn’t trust anyone else but CHQ with any type of concerns no matter how big or small!

Carly is incredibly compassionate and is a true dog lover. She explains the why behind the behaviors you are trying to curb and gives you the tools to accomplish what you are after.

My dog was very skittish from a young age and Carly helped both my dog and I navigate such a tricky saturation. I highly recommend CHQ Dogs.
