Choosing the right training program is an important decision, and we understand that you may have questions before making a commitment. Our Pre-Training Consultation is designed for dog owners who would like to meet with a trainer, discuss their concerns, and better understand their dog's individual needs before purchasing a training package. During this approximately one-hour, in-home consultation, we'll discuss your dog's behavior, temperament, training history, daily routine, and your personal goals. We'll answer your questions, discuss potential training approaches, and help you determine which of our programs may be the best fit for you and your dog. Consultation Fee: $50 Should you decide to enroll in one of our training packages, your $50 consultation fee will be credited toward your package purchase. Please Note: This consultation is completely optional and is intended for clients who would like guidance before selecting a training program. An initial in-home consultation is already included in the first appointment of every new training package, so there is no need to purchase this consultation separately if you're ready to enroll.

The first few months of your puppy’s life are about so much more than learning “sit.” Puppy Foundations is designed to help you build the communication, confidence, routines, and everyday skills your puppy needs to grow into a well-mannered and confident adult dog. Over 6 private lessons, we’ll work through the most important parts of puppyhood, including potty training, crate training, puppy biting and chewing, name recognition and engagement, sit, down, place, come, stay foundations, loose-leash walking, cooperative care and handling, appropriate socialization, confidence building, settling, and early impulse control. We’ll also help you navigate common puppy challenges at home and teach you how to continue training between sessions. Because every puppy develops at a different pace, training is tailored to your puppy’s age, temperament, confidence level, and individual needs—we’ll meet them where they are and build from there. A major focus of this program is prevention. Rather than waiting for unwanted habits to become established, we'll help you create routines, boundaries, and positive experiences now that set your puppy up for success as they enter adolescence and adulthood. For dogs 6 months to 2 years The teenage stage can be challenging! As puppies grow into adolescents, increased independence, excitement, distractions, and testing boundaries can make it feel like all that early training suddenly disappeared. Adolescent Foundations is designed to help you navigate this stage with structure, consistency, and clear communication. Over 8 private lessons, we’ll build on your dog’s existing skills while developing the reliability and self-control they need for everyday life. Training includes sit, down, place, stay, recall, loose-leash walking, impulse control, polite greetings, doorway and household manners, environmental neutrality, cooperative handling, and working around real-world distractions. We’ll also address common adolescent challenges such as jumping, pulling, overexcitement, selective listening, difficulty settling, and increased interest in people, dogs, and the environment. Every dog develops differently, so training is tailored to your dog’s temperament, maturity, current skill level, and your goals. We’ll meet your dog where they are and progressively build skills without expecting more than they're ready for. Whether your dog never received formal training, has developed a few unwanted habits along the way, or simply needs more structure and consistency, we’ll meet them where they are and build from there. Training is individualized to your dog’s temperament, experience, and your goals as an owner. Throughout the program, we’ll work on sit, down, place, stay, recall, loose-leash walking, impulse control, polite greetings, doorway and household manners, environmental neutrality, and cooperative handling, while helping you develop clearer communication and a stronger relationship with your dog. Choose from 6 or 8 private lessons, depending on your dog’s current skills and training needs. Whether your dog needs extra practice mastering certain skills, continued support with everyday challenges, or more time building confidence and reliability, these additional sessions allow us to continue working toward your goals without starting an entirely new program.
