Foundations for a Well-Behaved Adolescent Dog This class is recommended for large or highly active dogs 7–12 months, and small, medium, or shy dogs 9–14 months, and small or medium dogs 12–16 months and focuses on core manners such as sit, down, stay, come when called, leash walking, and polite greetings. We’ll also incorporate some supervised play, so your dog must already have experience playing appropriately with other dogs in a daycare or puppy class setting. If your dog hasn’t had this type of group play experience, please email or text us first—we can help you decide whether this class is the right fit or if our Basic Manners class would be a better starting point.
