The moment I spoke with Taryn at AYP, after speaking with several other doggy daycare’s and training, I knew this was the place for my rescue pup Khaleesi. My pup had a traumatic background, rescued her from Big Dog Ranch Rescue, and she needed quite a bit of socialization. I initially thought she needed training but reality is, Taryn walked me through it and said she doesn’t need training. She needs to learn it’s OK to be with other doggies. And she was 100% right! I 1000% recommend AYP.!!! Thank you AYP, i wish I could post 100 videos of how she is today 🫶

Dee with Applause Your Paws was absolutely wonderful to work with for our dog, Hank. Hank was a co-owned show dog, so he came with a unique personality and some very specific needs, and Dee handled him with an incredible level of patience, professionalism, and skill. You can immediately tell she has a true gift for working with dogs. Her communication, knowledge, and understanding were exceptional, and Hank made tremendous progress while training with her. It was clear every step of the way that she genuinely cared about both the dogs and their owners. If you are looking for a trainer who is experienced, intuitive, compassionate, and truly talented at what she does, I would highly recommend Dee and Applause Your Paws. The first time I brought my dogs, Brookie and Pepper, to Applause Your Paws, they were only 5 months old for their first 21-day training program. I was absolutely amazed by the results. They came back calmer, more focused, and knowing all the core commands perfectly. At 8 months old, we returned to have them trained as service dogs, and once again AYP exceeded every expectation. Training two large dogs together and walking them at the same time requires consistency and precision, and the trainers truly delivered. My dogs came back confident, well-behaved, and clearly understanding their new roles. Since then, we’ve continued attending their Saturday classes because I truly believe ongoing training is key to keeping both dogs and owners happy and successful. Every trainer we’ve worked with has been knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely caring. This past spring break, we enrolled them again for more advanced training, and I can honestly say I would not have the amazing service dogs I have today without AYP. What makes AYP stand out even more is how much they truly care about the dogs. They treat them like their own, and my pups are always excited to go back. They also communicate daily with videos and updates, which gave me so much confidence and peace of mind throughout the process. I especially appreciated that they listened to my request to train both dogs together since that’s how they work with me every day. They really tailor the training to each family’s needs. I cannot recommend Applause Your Paws enough. Every experience we’ve had with them has been exceptional, and all of the trainers we’ve worked with have been incredible.

Dee and her crew are amazing! She helped me raise my Belgian malinois into the perfect little man he is today! Puppy classes with Alex were a huge help. We even went on to compete in Rally Obedience and placed all thanks to Dee, her passion and incredible skill set. Highly recommend Applause Your Paws to anyone who wants a well behaved pup!

AYP has truly been the biggest saving grace for us with our Golden Retriever puppy. Romy was not a pup who took easily to the crate and after weeks of trying everything at home, we were completely defeated, exhausted and too anxious to leave the home, even for a quick errand, in fear of what we’d come home to. We started going attending day school and within a few sessions, we were able to comfortably implement enforced naps and leave the home for brief periods. We’ve officially shifted to her sleeping in her crate at night and she goes in comfortably and easily settles. Romy absolutely LOVES everyone there (she can’t get through the door fast enough), is learning so quickly during her sessions, and is getting the socialization and stimulation she needs. Will forever personally use and recommend AYP!

I’ve known Dee for many years through dog rescue work, and she has always been one of the most dedicated animal advocates I’ve met. Long before Applause Your Paws Dog Training became so well known, she was volunteering with rescue dogs and helping dogs become more adoptable through patience, structure, and training. She later started Magic City K9 to expand on her rescue efforts and help address the overpopulation crisis at Miami-Dade Animal Services (MDAS), especially for larger breed and harder-to-place dogs. Every time I fostered or adopted a new rescue dog, especially larger adult dogs, I enrolled in her obedience classes and dog training programs. The difference it made was incredible. Rescue dogs often come with unknown backgrounds, anxiety, or behavioral issues, and Dee has a calm, knowledgeable approach that really builds confidence for both the dogs and their owners. Her facility is beautiful, professional, clean, and extremely well run. You can tell how much experience and care goes into everything she does. I’m also incredibly proud of the work she has done with rescue dogs, prison dog training programs, and the continued advocacy she brings to the animal rescue community. We brought our toy poodle Plato for the group obedience 1 class and day-care. Very kind and professional staff. They kept me updated after his training session during day-care and provided guidance on further solidifying the commands practiced in group and daycare (sit, down, stay, recall and touch so far). Plato had a great time and retained quite a bit from 2 sessions (1 group and 1 daycare). Overall great experience so far.

I cannot say enough amazing things about Applause Your Paws! I originally enrolled one of my own puppies in their Puppy Kindergarten class, and the experience exceeded all expectations. As a breeder of Mini Australian Labradoodles, I am very particular about who I recommend to my families — and after seeing firsthand how incredible this program is, I now recommend them to all of my puppy families. Dee, the owner, teaches the Saturday Puppy Kindergarten classes and is truly amazing. She is extremely knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely cares about each puppy’s success and development. You can tell this is not “just a business” to her — she truly wants every puppy and owner to succeed. Not only does she provide so much valuable information during class, but she also stays connected through WhatsApp and is always there to answer questions and support her clients. Having that kind of guidance and communication is priceless, especially for new puppy owners. This company is absolutely amazing. I would give them 6 stars if I could!

My 2-year-old German Shepherd completed a three-week board and train at Applause Your Paws, and I’m so happy with the results. He had reactivity issues, especially with people and other dogs on walks, and he came back so much more calm, confident, and desensitized. A huge thank you to Alex- his trainer, who was incredibly patient, gentle, and caring with him. He helped Rocky through a tough transition with so much understanding, and by the end, Rocky clearly adored him — even rolling over with him and showing so much trust. Another special thank you to Taryn for all of her help and the attention she gave Rocky, especially when he wasn’t eating. It meant a lot to know he was being watched so closely and cared for so thoughtfully. I’m so grateful for the kindness, patience, and progress they gave my dog. I would absolutely recommend Applause Your Paws to anyone who thinks they can't leave their dog with anyone while on vacation.

I couldn’t be happier with the experience my dog Oreo and I have had with Applause Your Paws. Since starting day school, I’ve seen such a noticeable improvement in her behavior and overall confidence. It’s clear that the team truly invests time and care into each dog’s development. One of the things I appreciate most is the daily report cards. They provide great insight into what Oreo worked on each day, along with helpful suggestions on how I can continue reinforcing those skills at home. It really makes me feel involved in her progress. The staff is incredibly kind, attentive, and genuinely passionate about what they do. You can tell that all the dogs enjoy being there, which gives me so much peace of mind. Love going to AYP! The group classes are affordable, the instruction is practical, simple and you see the difference in your pup’s behavior relatively soon. As an owner, I enjoy the camaraderie and the support- my pup Nemo loves the challenge & treats!

I’ve been with Applause Your Paws since my dog Luna was a puppy, and truly can’t say enough good things about them. I started with a few puppy classes and learned so much about how to properly care for, train, and understand my dog. From there, we continued with training, and I’m so happy to see how much she has improved! Now Luna attends daycare twice a week, and absolutely loves it! The best part is seeing her excitement. She cries with joy when she realizes she’s going to daycare to see her friends. The sense of community is incredible. The trainers genuinely care about each dog and their well being. I trust them completely and wholeheartedly. Thanks to them Luna is happy and thriving!

Without a doubt my favorite training and boarding facility. The staff care so much for the dogs and Dee is always ensuring to do right by them. She trained little Lisa to carry an art brush.

I cannot recommend AYP enough! We have two adult 9 1/2 yr old dogs who were not dog-friendly at all, and thanks to our trainer Felisha’s incredible patience and guidance, they now accept—and love—our two new pups every single day. It wasn’t an easy journey, but it was absolutely worth it, and I’m so thankful we made this decision to keep all four of our dogs safe and happy together. Felisha was amazing during our private lessons, working with the big dogs to accept and interact with the pups. Then, in the group classes, trainers like Maggie and Alex helped the puppies learn obedience skills (and even some fun tricks!). Every trainer we worked with is knowledgeable, kind, and truly invested in our dogs’ success. This has been the best money I’ve ever invested in our fur family. We are now living in harmony, and I couldn’t be more grateful!

Applause Your Paws is my babies' home away from home! These professionals LOVE dogs and always show it. They are wonderful professionals who understand doggie behavior and training. I've attended level 1 and 2 classes and my babies go to day school twice a week, where they have fun and get training too. They love their school and are so excited to see all of their human and k9 friends every day! Highly recommend!

My boy Duke and I have been struggling to manage his reactivity during on-leash walks. Luckily we found the amazing people at AYP and just after our first private session with Jonny at the facility I could tell they would make a huge positive difference in our training. We left Duke for about a week in their board and train program and Alex and the rest of the team did a wonderful job taking care of Duke. We really do appreciate their effort and all the knowledge they’ve given us to progress Dukes training. Highly recommend AYP, thanks again!

I’ve been taking my Aussie puppy, Dobro, to Applause Your Paws and we’ve had such a great experience! Dee has been an awesome instructor — she helped Dobro graduate from puppy class to Level 1, and he’s learned so much along the way. Dobro also goes to day school, and I love how Clay, KT, Alex, and the rest of the trainers take the time to write detailed report cards after each session. It’s clear they really care about every dog and their progress. Everyone there is super friendly, knowledgeable, and patient — you can tell they love what they do. I’d definitely recommend Applause Your Paws to anyone who wants help training their fur baby!

I am happy to share my experience with AYP. I was apprehensive to leave my puppy for the boarding with training , but from day one Alex B made me feel confidant that I had made the right choice. Phoebe is a rescue and was very fearful of new environments and other dogs. She gained confidence and has learned so much. Thank you Alex for always sending daily videos and updates.

Monika was a great trainer and she made a huge difference with our dog, Winnie. Winnie is a 4 y/o rescue with severe anxiety from a tough life and we had a ton of trouble potty training her and teaching her to walk on a leash. Our expectations were pretty low when we called AYP - we just wanted to get her potty trained and thought anything above that was just wishful thinking. However after just 6 training sessions with Monika, not only is Winnie potty trained, she also walks on a leash, she knows “sit” perfectly, and she has almost mastered “come.” Needless to say our expectations were far exceeded. We did have to do a lot of “homework” with Winnie, but Monika explained everything perfectly and laid it out in a very manageable way. She was full of ideas and suggestions. It was refreshing to work with a true professional, who is also super caring and sweet!

Our dog Ziggy has been going to Applause Your Paws’s day school for almost 6 months and it’s been the best decision for our active and reactive pup. All the trainers are excellent (I love reading the report cards), but I have to shout Alex B. for showing us all of Ziggy’s potential when it comes to obedience training and agility development. We were at a loss when it came to managing Ziggy’s reactivity and AYP has helped us find joy in being Ziggy’s family.

We love AYP! Luna has been going to doggy day school since she was 4 months old! She’s a very high energy dog and has really benefitted from both the training and socialization at AYP. All the trainers are very attentive and patient with her and really tailor her training sessions to her needs. I love reading her reports and seeing videos of her training. And I love that she’s able to have new experiences there. She’s always so happy to get there and never wants to leave. Alex in the play yard is her favorite! Everyone on the team has been great and I’m grateful she has a place to go that she loves. She gets home tired and happy whenever she has school.

I can’t say enough good things about Alex B.! He did an amazing job working with my 9-month-old rescue, Billy, and the transformation has been incredible. At our initial meeting, Billy had issues with dog aggression, and Alex approached the training with patience and clear expertise. I saw immense progress within days. Alex is professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely cares about the dogs. I highly recommend Alex B. to anyone looking for a great dog trainer. 🐾

AYP was a good choice !! They treated my dog Princess so well and I was very relieved on that since I had her on the boarding training for two weeks . I was so happy Destiny trained my dog Princess !! Destiny was very kind and knowledgeable I had lots of confidence in her with my Princess!! My dog Princess is a pit bull mixed with lab and boxer. She needed work on walking with a leash, listening on command and some exposure to other dogs and people. This was the best experience for my dog Princess and it has helped so much !! Thank you AYP and most of all Thank you Destiny!! P.S Princess misses you !!

I recently had the privilege of dropping off my buddy Toño for a 2 week board and train. Toño, a beautiful but sometimes over anxious mini Aussie, came back absolutely awesome. He doesn’t pull and his anxiety is well more controlled, all while still retaining the amazing qualities that make him my best friend. I cannot thank the team at AYP for the work they did, especially Alex Barranco, Toño’s trainer, who not only did magnificent work training, but showing my buddy care and attention that kept him happy and smiling, especially the car rides. Thanks again to Alex for being a good friend to Toño and to the AYP team, keep doing the great work.

We can't say enough good things about AYP. Our dog Lucy absolutely loves going there, she gets excited the moment she realizes where she's headed. The staff clearly care about the dogs. We had an amazing experience with AYP, especially with Alex as our trainer. Our dog Loki is very smart and loving, but he definitely had some behavioral issues going in. He’s five months old, and we were honestly worried we might have missed the window or that he wouldn’t respond as well to training. After just two weeks, the difference in him was incredible. He came back more structured, responsive, and overall so much more obedient. Alex was in constant communication with us, sending daily videos and updates, which made us feel really comfortable while Loki was there. It was clear from the start how much he genuinely cares about the dogs he works with. What really sets Alex apart is how much knowledge he has and how well he explains it. He doesn’t just tell you what to do, he explains why your dog is reacting a certain way and why one approach works better than another. It helped us understand Loki on a completely different level. His training is clearly tailored to each dog, not a one-size-fits-all approach, and that made a huge difference. He makes it all seem easy, even though we know it takes real skill. What stood out most is how happy Loki was throughout the entire process. The way he reacted when he saw Alex again said everything. And even more importantly, the training actually carried over once he got home. He didn’t come back acting like he could ignore us. He’s just as responsive and well-behaved at home as he was there, which says a lot about the quality of the training. We also feel so much more confident moving forward with the tools and guidance we were given, and it’s reassuring to know they’re always available if we need additional support. Taryn was also incredibly helpful from the beginning. She answered all of my questions, was very responsive, and made the whole process easy, even on short notice. Overall, every interaction we had was positive. We would absolutely trust them with Loki again and will be recommending them to everyone we know.

We had a home visit with Felisha and she was very helpful. We have a 6 month old puppy and wanted someone to check out our specific home set up and how we all interacted. She arrived right on time and immediately set out to help us correct some things that were hampering our training. She was very good with our pup and included our young daughter in the training and gave her lots of advice on how to be a good pet owner. She made lots of great suggestions and then followed up with an email with potty training hints and a text with lots of good products she recommended. We’ll definitely have her back when we’re ready to tackle some advanced training

We just got a new puppy and have been going to the AYP puppy kindergarten class on Saturday mornings. What an incredible experience! All of the staff is super knowledgeable and very friendly. Dee is an exceptional human being. You can tell from the first few moments of meeting her how much she loves dogs and how knowledgeable she is. They even have a WhatsApp chat for questions. We have learned so much in just a few short weeks. I would recommend this place to anyone who is even thinking about getting a puppy. We can’t wait for class next week!

Our experience with AYP has been fantastic. We started training with Marlene when our dog was a puppy and have continued our training journey with her over the years. Both private lessons as well as group classes have been incredibly helpful and successful at training a well behaved dog, and we’ve leaned so much along the way! We Love AYP. Coco has been going to classes and Day School since she was 4 months old. She started with Private Lessons; then Puppy School and many more classes as she got older. Coco is now 4 years old and she still attends Daycare/Training at the AYP facilities. We also participate in group activities all around Miami. I can’t say enough great things about AYP dog training school and its trainers. From day one, the team was professional, patient, knowledgeable, and genuinely caring toward both dogs and owners. I signed to trained Coco; turns out they trained me too 😂

I have taken several classes with my dogs at Applause Your Paws and I am so pleased with the trainers and the facility! I took Outdoor Adventures four times (three different dogs)...twice in Broward and twice in Miami. The classes are fun and take place in different public places each week, where the dogs practice their obedience skills with distractions and work towards their Canine Good Citizen tests. Marlene's Outdoor Adventure classes in Miami were my favorite! I also took Level 2 Obedience at the Miami location with Marlene and Dee as trainers. They both managed the class well, were always creative with training exercises for their canine students, clearly explained the exercises, and were receptive to questions. Both trainers are excellent and I always looked forward to class. I've only been to the Miami facility and it has always been spotless during my classes and it's so nice to have an indoor, matted facility with AC in the FL heat.

We found Applause Your Paws because our two dogs got into a big fight. We could not even keep them in the same room together after their incident. It was not a quick fix, but because of the diligent efforts of AYP, our dogs are best friends again and play all the time together. They are continuing their training there to focus on their individual needs - one was very reactive to other dogs. She has now gotten to the point where she can give appropriate corrections if a dog won’t leave her alone and can disengage easily from uncomfortable situations. We are so grateful to the team and recommend AYP very highly if you are looking for a place for your pup!

I adopted my fur baby Daisy two months ago from the shelter, and being new to dog ownership, I needed help with training. After doing extensive research, I found Applause Your Paws, which had consistent and reliable reviews. I signed up for in-home private lessons with Felisha, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. Daisy is fear-reactive, and taking her on walks used to be very stressful, especially when we encountered other dogs. After just three sessions with Felisha, Daisy has improved so much on loose leash walks and is more manageable when we come across other dogs. Felisha is incredibly knowledgeable and gave me the best tips and advice, helping me feel more confident as a dog owner. Yesterday, we passed another dog, and while Daisy was initially reactive, I used the techniques Felisha taught me—staying calm and in control—and Daisy let the dog walk by without any further reaction. I’ve been lucky to work 1:1 with Felisha. She’s helped me and my pup in learning the best behavior training possible when it comes to his timid demeanor to loud noises and big bangs. Before our training I was always worried about our walks and the risk of him slipping a lead, with what Felisha has taught me I’ve been able to keep consistent progress and it’s been a complete 360.

Wonderful training center for pups! My pup, Wyatt was very shy and the socialization from puppy school has helped make him a confident and well balanced puppy. We are looking forward to advancing to Level 1 Obedience. Great and friendly staff and facility. Dee is very knowledgeable and has great advice and information about dogs. AYP it’s great! Everyone has been friendly and able to explain the best options for training my dog Shanti. Felisha has been respectful and has taught me how to handle situations with my dog that I was struggling with. We started with at home training and now I would like to continue with group classes with her. I definitely recommend Felisha and APY!

My dog and I started going to the group classes they offer. We were struggling with leash training and reactivity in particular. Marlene, the trainer leading our group class, identified the specific issues we were having and recommended a private in home lesson to be trained on new equipment. I was hesitant at first but we finally booked a private training session with Felicia. I was very pleased to learn that Marlene and Felisha had already communicated prior to the private in home training so we wasted no time getting to work. Felisha thoroughly helped us become familiar with the equipment and went above and beyond even after the session to answer any questions I had. Both trainers are very knowledgeable in their field and work as a team providing the best level of training we could ask for. Highly recommend. My dog has made a tremendous amount of progress in just a little over a month and we look forward to continuing our training with applause your paws.

I would highly recommend Applause Your Paws. Our dog Doug started with private trainer from AYP (Johnny) and he was great in helping us train Doug with the basic commands. We then decided to try the Daycare and we absolute love taking Doug once a week for daycare and training. We rescued Doug and he now is much better with people and seeing other dogs. His daycare trainer Destiny is fabulous. She is great with Doug and he loves her. He has definitely gotten better with all the commands and socially meeting other dogs. She knows his favorite snacks to make him work!

I love the classes and Ty although fearful and anxious likes going there and seeing the dogs. He will learn. Dee is amazing, she has the patience of a saint and treats everyone with kindness, going by each pet and pet owner to check progress and give feedback. The first time I brought my dogs, Brookie and Pepper, to Applause Your Paws, they were only 5 months old for their first 21-day training program. I was absolutely amazed by the results. They came back calmer, more focused, and knowing all the core commands perfectly. At 8 months old, we returned to have them trained as service dogs, and once again AYP exceeded every expectation. Training two large dogs together and walking them at the same time requires consistency and precision, and the trainers truly delivered. My dogs came back confident, well-behaved, and clearly understanding their new roles. Since then, we’ve continued attending their Saturday classes because I truly believe ongoing training is key to keeping both dogs and owners happy and successful. Every trainer we’ve worked with has been knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely caring. AYP has truly been the biggest saving grace for us with our Golden Retriever puppy. Romy was not a pup who took easily to the crate and after weeks of trying everything at home, we were completely defeated, exhausted and too anxious to leave the home, even for a quick errand, in fear of what we’d come home to. We started going attending day school and within a few sessions, we were able to comfortably implement enforced naps and leave the home for brief periods. We’ve officially shifted to her sleeping in her crate at night and she goes in comfortably and easily settles. Romy absolutely LOVES everyone there (she can’t get through the door fast enough), is learning so quickly during her sessions, and is getting the socialization and stimulation she needs. Will forever personally use and recommend AYP!

I’ve known Dee for many years through dog rescue work, and she has always been one of the most dedicated animal advocates I’ve met. We brought our toy poodle Plato for the group obedience 1 class and day-care. Very kind and professional staff. They kept me updated after his training session during day-care and provided guidance on further solidifying the commands practiced in group and daycare (sit, down, stay, recall and touch so far). Plato had a great time and retained quite a bit from 2 sessions (1 group and 1 daycare). Overall great experience so far.

My 2-year-old German Shepherd completed a three-week board and train at Applause Your Paws, and I’m so happy with the results. He had reactivity issues, especially with people and other dogs on walks, and he came back so much more calm, confident, and desensitized. I’ve been with Applause Your Paws since my dog Luna was a puppy, and truly can’t say enough good things about them. I started with a few puppy classes and learned so much about how to properly care for, train, and understand my dog. We have two adult 9 1/2 yr old dogs who were not dog-friendly at all, and thanks to our trainer Felisha’s incredible patience and guidance, they now accept—and love—our two new pups every single day. It wasn’t an easy journey, but it was absolutely worth it, and I’m so thankful we made this decision to keep all four of our dogs safe and happy together. Felisha was amazing during our private lessons, working with the big dogs to accept and interact with the pups. Then, in the group classes, trainers like Maggie and Alex helped the puppies learn obedience skills (and even some fun tricks!). Every trainer we worked with is knowledgeable, kind, and truly invested in our dogs’ success. This has been the best money I’ve ever invested in our fur family. We are now living in harmony, and I couldn’t be more grateful!

My boy Duke and I have been struggling to manage his reactivity during on-leash walks. Luckily we found the amazing people at AYP and just after our first private session with Jonny at the facility I could tell they would make a huge positive difference in our training. We left Duke for about a week in their board and train program and Alex and the rest of the team did a wonderful job taking care of Duke. I’ve been taking my Aussie puppy, Dobro, to Applause Your Paws and we’ve had such a great experience! Dee has been an awesome instructor — she helped Dobro graduate from puppy class to Level 1, and he’s learned so much along the way. Monika was a great trainer and she made a huge difference with our dog, Winnie. Winnie is a 4 y/o rescue with severe anxiety from a tough life and we had a ton of trouble potty training her and teaching her to walk on a leash. Our expectations were pretty low when we called AYP - we just wanted to get her potty trained and thought anything above that was just wishful thinking. However after just 6 training sessions with Monika, not only is Winnie potty trained, she also walks on a leash, she knows “sit” perfectly, and she has almost mastered “come.” Needless to say our expectations were far exceeded. We did have to do a lot of “homework” with Winnie, but Monika explained everything perfectly and laid it out in a very manageable way. She was full of ideas and suggestions. It was refreshing to work with a true professional, who is also super caring and sweet!

Our dog Ziggy has been going to Applause Your Paws’s day school for almost 6 months and it’s been the best decision for our active and reactive pup. All the trainers are excellent (I love reading the report cards), but I have to shout Alex B. for showing us all of Ziggy’s potential when it comes to obedience training and agility development. We were at a loss when it came to managing Ziggy’s reactivity and AYP has helped us find joy in being Ziggy’s family.

We love AYP! Luna has been going to doggy day school since she was 4 months old! She’s a very high energy dog and has really benefitted from both the training and socialization at AYP. All the trainers are very attentive and patient with her and really tailor her training sessions to her needs. I love reading her reports and seeing videos of her training. And I love that she’s able to have new experiences there. She’s always so happy to get there and never wants to leave. Alex in the play yard is her favorite! Everyone on the team has been great and I’m grateful she has a place to go that she loves. She gets home tired and happy whenever she has school.

At our initial meeting, Billy had issues with dog aggression, and Alex approached the training with patience and clear expertise. I saw immense progress within days. AYP was a good choice !! They treated my dog Princess so well and I was very relieved on that since I had her on the boarding training for two weeks . I was so happy Destiny trained my dog Princess !! Destiny was very kind and knowledgeable I had lots of confidence in her with my Princess!! My dog Princess is a pit bull mixed with lab and boxer. She needed work on walking with a leash, listening on command and some exposure to other dogs and people. This was the best experience for my dog Princess and it has helped so much !! I recently had the privilege of dropping off my buddy Toño for a 2 week board and train. Toño, a beautiful but sometimes over anxious mini Aussie, came back absolutely awesome. He doesn’t pull and his anxiety is well more controlled, all while still retaining the amazing qualities that make him my best friend. I cannot thank the team at AYP for the work they did, especially Alex Barranco, Toño’s trainer, who not only did magnificent work training, but showing my buddy care and attention that kept him happy and smiling, especially the car rides. We had an amazing experience with AYP, especially with Alex as our trainer. Our dog Loki is very smart and loving, but he definitely had some behavioral issues going in. He’s five months old, and we were honestly worried we might have missed the window or that he wouldn’t respond as well to training. After just two weeks, the difference in him was incredible. He came back more structured, responsive, and overall so much more obedient. Alex was in constant communication with us, sending daily videos and updates, which made us feel really comfortable while Loki was there. It was clear from the start how much he genuinely cares about the dogs he works with. What really sets Alex apart is how much knowledge he has and how well he explains it. He doesn’t just tell you what to do, he explains why your dog is reacting a certain way and why one approach works better than another. It helped us understand Loki on a completely different level. His training is clearly tailored to each dog, not a one-size-fits-all approach, and that made a huge difference. He makes it all seem easy, even though we know it takes real skill. What stood out most is how happy Loki was throughout the entire process. The way he reacted when he saw Alex again said everything. And even more importantly, the training actually carried over once he got home. He didn’t come back acting like he could ignore us. He’s just as responsive and well-behaved at home as he was there, which says a lot about the quality of the training. We also feel so much more confident moving forward with the tools and guidance we were given, and it’s reassuring to know they’re always available if we need additional support. Taryn was also incredibly helpful from the beginning. She answered all of my questions, was very responsive, and made the whole process easy, even on short notice. Overall, every interaction we had was positive. We would absolutely trust them with Loki again and will be recommending them to everyone we know.

We had a home visit with Felisha and she was very helpful. We have a 6 month old puppy and wanted someone to check out our specific home set up and how we all interacted. She arrived right on time and immediately set out to help us correct some things that were hampering our training. She was very good with our pup and included our young daughter in the training and gave her lots of advice on how to be a good pet owner. She made lots of great suggestions and then followed up with an email with potty training hints and a text with lots of good products she recommended. We’ll definitely have her back when we’re ready to tackle some advanced training

We just got a new puppy and have been going to the AYP puppy kindergarten class on Saturday mornings. What an incredible experience! All of the staff is super knowledgeable and very friendly. Dee is an exceptional human being. You can tell from the first few moments of meeting her how much she loves dogs and how knowledgeable she is. They even have a WhatsApp chat for questions. I have taken several classes with my dogs at Applause Your Paws and I am so pleased with the trainers and the facility! I took Outdoor Adventures four times (three different dogs)...twice in Broward and twice in Miami. The classes are fun and take place in different public places each week, where the dogs practice their obedience skills with distractions and work towards their Canine Good Citizen tests. Marlene's Outdoor Adventure classes in Miami were my favorite! I also took Level 2 Obedience at the Miami location with Marlene and Dee as trainers. They both managed the class well, were always creative with training exercises for their canine students, clearly explained the exercises, and were receptive to questions. Both trainers are excellent and I always looked forward to class. I've only been to the Miami facility and it has always been spotless during my classes and it's so nice to have an indoor, matted facility with AC in the FL heat.

We found Applause Your Paws because our two dogs got into a big fight. We could not even keep them in the same room together after their incident. It was not a quick fix, but because of the diligent efforts of AYP, our dogs are best friends again and play all the time together. They are continuing their training there to focus on their individual needs - one was very reactive to other dogs. She has now gotten to the point where she can give appropriate corrections if a dog won’t leave her alone and can disengage easily from uncomfortable situations. We are so grateful to the team and recommend AYP very highly if you are looking for a place for your pup!

I’ve been lucky to work 1:1 with Felisha. She’s helped me and my pup in learning the best behavior training possible when it comes to his timid demeanor to loud noises and big bangs. My dog and I started going to the group classes they offer. We were struggling with leash training and reactivity in particular. Marlene, the trainer leading our group class, identified the specific issues we were having and recommended a private in home lesson to be trained on new equipment. I was hesitant at first but we finally booked a private training session with Felicia. I was very pleased to learn that Marlene and Felisha had already communicated prior to the private in home training so we wasted no time getting to work. Felisha thoroughly helped us become familiar with the equipment and went above and beyond even after the session to answer any questions I had. I would highly recommend Applause Your Paws. Our dog Doug started with private trainer from AYP (Johnny) and he was great in helping us train Doug with the basic commands. We then decided to try the Daycare and we absolute love taking Doug once a week for daycare and training. We rescued Doug and he now is much better with people and seeing other dogs. His daycare trainer Destiny is fabulous. She is great with Doug and he loves her. He has definitely gotten better with all the commands and socially meeting other dogs. She knows his favorite snacks to make him work!
