(previously Deep Tissue Massage)
30 minutes is an express session with time for a single region of focus.
Choose 60, 90, or 120 minutes for a whole body treatment.
This targeted session integrates deep tissue techniques with complementary modalities to reach deeper layers of muscles and connective tissue, addressing chronic muscle tension, tight knots, and restricted mobility.
It involves applying firm pressure, slow strokes, compressions, kneading, rhythmic rocking, and passive stretching to release chronic tension, break down scar tissue, and address specific musculoskeletal issues. It is effective for reducing pain and inflammation, improving mobility, reducing stress and anxiety, and enhancing range-of-motion. Your therapist may use thumbs, knuckles, forearms, or elbows to deliver the pressure needed.
Ideal for pain relief, improved range of motion, and recovery from physical strain, this hybrid approach supports everyday function. Perfect for those seeking intensive, therapeutic relief with lasting results.
Essential oil aromatherapy included.
PLEASE NOTE
Deep tissue massage is often described as "hurts so good". However, if you experience pain beyond your preference/threshold, you must immediately verbally communicate this out loud.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
People with blood clotting disorders or with an increased risk of bone fractures (especially osteoporosis) should check with their doctor before receiving deep tissue massage. Other possible risks include bruising, aggravation of previous injuries, and nerve lesions.
