The Pariah Pack was created with the goal of bettering the human and canine relationship. Before getting my first dog Zuko, I had prepared myself by researching everything I could about owning a dog. With off-leash being a main goal of mine, I had to truly understand how dogs think, what traits do they retain from their wolf ancestors, how does this creature that I've made to live with me live peacefully and respectfully in a family/pack? These creatures that can’t talk, are constantly communicating with us, and unknowingly we are also to them. Only after I recognized Zuko’s needs as a dog and met them, did he love and trust me. I was then able to have a balanced and trusted pack mate off-leash. I made this animal become a part of my family, so it was my responsibility to “Teach the Beast.”
