Karate Instructor Associations

There are a few highly regarded associations for Karate instructors. The World Karate Federation (WKF), established in 1990, is the largest international Karate governing body with 191 member countries and is the only Karate federation recognized by the International Olympic Committee. The Panamerican Karate Federation, established in 1975 and with a membership of 37 countries, was founded in Long Beach, California.
