Professional Associations for Judo Instructors

Association memberships are a great way for Judo instructors to be the best they can be. There are some great associations for Judo instructors. The International Judo Federation (IJF) is the recognized world governing body, It was started in 1951, and in the United States is represented by the Pan-American Judo Confederation. 

The US Judo Federation is another association for teachers and students to find one another easily. Students and instructors can build lasting relationships or even meet new people and try different courses and experiment with other sub-disciplines. Making full use of associations will help students make better, informed decisions as to how to approach the study of this multi-faceted martial art.
