This course builds on the skills learned in a basic obedience class, equipping you with the tools to handle more challenging scenarios. A prerequisite of completing a basic obedience class from FORTIS Canine or a comparable program with a certified dog trainer is necessary. The program incorporates the responsible use of an e-collar — provided as part of the course — within a humane and positive reinforcement framework.

E-Collar: This device is designed to mimic the nip on the mother. It delivers a humane personal correction for addressing improper behavior. This tool is amazing for providing off leash freedom and control, the most important skill in my opinion. This is a safety fundamental that keeps the dog out of harm like the road or away from dangers like other dogs or grills that smell so good to the unknowing and hungry pup.

A Dogtra E-Collar is included with this class.

Education: Let me teach you how this tool is used humanity. This will include proper fit, and proper correction. We use low level stimulation to establish a training baseline.
