"Enrichment" is the term given to improving an animal’s quality of life by making the environment more complex and dynamic, and providing mental and physical stimulation. Often, enrichment mimics an animal’s natural ‘wild’ existence, including hunting for food, stimulating the senses, and providing variety. In this class we will be experiencing different enrichment techniques and games to provide you and your dog with some enrichment ideas inside and outside of class! In this class you will learn the tools to help your shy or fearful dog "find their brave". You will learn the early warning signals of fear, anxiety, and stress along with games to help build confidence and create positive experiences in triggering situations.

Think of an AKC Rally event as any team sport: You and your dog navigate a course, side-by-side, as you steer him through a course of 10-20 different signs. Each of these signs provides instructions regarding the next skill that is to be performed. The dog and handler move continuously throughout the course with the dog under control at the handler’s left side. In this class you will be introduced to the dog sport of Rally. The intention is fun--the benefit is nice, pull-free leash walks!
