An Overview of American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA)

The association’s mission is to advance the sport of volleyball with AVCA instructors at the epicenter of leadership, advocacy and coach growth.

The AVCA, with its head office in Lexington, Ky., has a membership of nearly 8,000. Members include college, secondary school, club, youth as well as Olympic instructors, as well as volleyball club directors. The AVCA provides education and learning to volleyball trainers, recognition of elite players, promotion of beach volleyball competitions throughout the world, as well as networking.

How to Join American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA)

There are membership categories available  from collegiate to club and from head coach to graduate assistant.

• A High School/Interscholastic coach can enjoy all the benefits of AVCA membership for $85.

• An NCAA Division II assistant coach can join the AVCA for $125.

• Club directors wanting the dual benefits of the AVCA and the Junior Volleyball Association pay $120.
