General requirements for an HVAC contractor license?

There are two parts to becoming a contractor in Alaska.

• First, all contractors must have a Mechanical Administrator license, or have a Mechanical Administrator working for them, to supervise work.

• Second, apply for a Mechanical Contractor registration. All Mechanical Contractor applicants must have or employ a licensed Mechanical Administrator before a license will be issued. They may perform mechanical contracting work only for the specialty to which they have an administrator assigned.
